New E! documentary series featuring TPIR
« on: February 13, 2026, 05:19:36 PM »
Looks like E! has put together another miniseries of 'behind the curtains' looks at several shows in March, including one devoted to TPIR.  The trailer is below, and it features two classic TPIR models in it - both fan favorites, and one of which hasn't been seen in years!

Also looks like I can't post links, so just search Trailer: Dirty Rotten Scandals Premiering March 4th on YouTube

Here it is:

The TPiR part of the trailer starts at 1:36 is only a couple of seconds is interspersed throughout. It looks like it'll be about what happened between Bob and the models.

Clips are interspersed from all the episodes. TPiR comes up well before 1:36.

Kathleen has been very outspoken. Not surprised to see her participating.

I gasped when I saw Holly, though. Surprised to see her pop back up and take part. She looks amazing, too. Almost exactly the same, save a bit of Father Time none of us can escape.

I feel like the topic of Bob and the model scandals has been beaten to death a million times already. I don't really see what they're trying to accomplish with this 3 years after he has passed away. There's never going to be a complete, factual telling of the events that transpired during that time because there's the models' version, Bob's/producer's version and the truth is mixed within both. This whole series seems like it's been made just to stir things up (and I say that as someone who never liked Dr. Phil).

Has it? Other than a vague notion that "Barker got in trouble for having sex with a model," do you think the average person has a lot of awareness of what was going on? Remember, there is an ever waning percentage of the population that even remembers Bob being host of the show.

I don't really see what they're trying to accomplish with this 3 years after he has passed away.

Bob's death may be a big reason why it's being produced now as opposed to years ago. Libel law is complicated, but you can't be sued for libeling a dead person, making it less likely that the producers of this program might be sued as long as they focus on Barker.

How many people even still watch the E! network in 2026? If their way of spreading it to the average person I don't think that having it on a network that struggles to get even 100,000 viewers in primetime is the best way to get that out.

I don't have cable so I won't be watching regardless; to me, anyway, it just feels like reopening old wounds. I think most of the fandom knows by now that Barker was a terrible boss and I don't know what rehashing it is supposed to accomplish at this point. Barker's gone, Drew has been the host for nearly two decades at this point, and the show is well into the modern era now.

In a lot of ways, the wounds have never closed and frankly, a lot of the modern public is unaware just what was going on behind the scenes for a lot of people there. I wish the pentellit account was active for this, I'd be curious to hear their thoughts.

Again I don't see how putting this on a channel that has poor viewership is going to get the modern public to know about it. Even the video itself only has about 20,000 viewers. I took a look at the ratings for the E! network on this site and on average it gets about 142,000 people watching at any given time. If that's "getting the modern public aware" its a very small number of the public.

Is the bare minimum for six figures really the viewership E! has now? How much was it getting when THS was in its heyday?

E might be the cable network, but if any attention is gotten, it will be on streaming. And it looks as Hulu has the rights.

^There were three sets of episodes total, the others covered Dr. Phil and America's Next Top Model, with Price being the last of the three.

Not many from the show actually participated, Holly, Kathleen, and Claudia were the only three models participating. It was mentioned that they attempted to reach out to Dian to take part but nobody has been able to get in contact with her for many years. They also only covered the years of Bob hosting, there was no mention of the Mike Richards behind-the-scenes stories or anything after Bob retired.
