2026 MLB Season
« on: March 04, 2026, 11:59:33 AM »
With the new season a little over four weeks out, the Atlanta Braves get some unwanted news. Designated hitter Jurickson Profar has failed his second test for PEDs and faces a season-long suspension.

That is unfortunate, but I don't think it changed their league winning odds.

Speaking of which, LA is still destined to 3-peat.  The Yankees have the second-best odds to win, followed by Seattle

Saw the Dodgers' probable starting line-up on opening day. A virtual murderer's row. Given good health, a robust starting rotation and a sturdy defense, I see a three-peat happening. (Being from SoCal originally, they're a vested interest.)

I want some of whatever the oddsmakers are drinking if they think the Yankees actually have a chance at anything other than missing the playoffs. They did pretty much nothing to actually improve over the off-season.

Aaron Judge is the best player in the world right now and his talents are being wasted due to pure incompetence in the Yankees' coaching and front office staff.
.
If Goerge Steinbrenner were still alive, Aaron Boone would have long been out of a job.
People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Yeah, I definitely did not touch that bet.  No chance from me!

Go figure that, while it's 1 of 162, everybody did well last night except Aaron Judge

We may see check swing reviews in a future season, thanks to the always incompetent CB Bucknor.

Braves OF Ronald Acuna is on the injured list (again) after a hamstring pull Friday night vs. Colorado; he'll be out till at least May 13. Braves currently hold the best record (25-10 as of this post). Meantime after firing Rob Thomson, the Phillies have won four in a row.

Saturday's action featured a very-rare streak where the Pirates were walked (by Cincinnati) seven consecutive times.  Part of a 17-7 rout for Pittsburgh, which was part of a 3-game sweep.  That's the second time for the Buccos over the past half century.  Despite that, the Pirates look up to the rest of the NL Central, after leading the division earlier in the season.
