I wonder why Bart used a shot to include the model when revealing the prices of the SPs in Punch-a-Bunch.

Probably because he's been using that shot on Pl!nko! for some time and he's comfortable with it.

Personally, I thought it was awesome that Roger played 1 Right Price and Double Prices in the same show.  Even though the games (for reasons I can't fathom) don't conflict, it's something that's just never done.  Did anybody happen to hunt down when the last time it happened was?  I don't even know if it's in a year whose calendar I have completed.

I've been getting a kick out of Drew's bumbling lately.  It reminds me of Bob's senior moments -- only funnier, because, y'know, they don't mean the host is showing signs of dementia.

I love how they actually acknowledged the 1,000th playing of 1 Right Price.

Bullseye was set up really strangely...when the heck's the last time they had two sub-$1 items in that game?

I love how Lucky $even's been all over the second half lately.

Could it have been Sept. 4, 1978? The lineup that day (per Steve) Double Prices, Bullseye, Shower Game, 1 Right Price, It's Optional, and Cliff Hangers. CLICK HERE

and (the final?) Roger appearance.

At the rate things have been going this week with Drew's flub ups, maybe we'll get to see him again before the end of the season.

I was interested in this fact myself, so I took the time to look it up.  The last time Double Prices and One Right Price were on the same show was April 24, 2002.  The line-up was One Right Price, Ten Chances, Plinko, Double Prices, Now….or Then, and One Away.
Just because I felt like it, I found all instances (so far) in which Double Prices and One Right Price were on the same show.  So far, there are 8 different episodes.

Well... if that's the last shot we ever see of Roger, at least we got two of them. :-)

Hmm.  Am I supposed to say something good about the One Away contestant, or bad about the Ten Chances contestant?  Or just mention about the really cool song the one contestant sang?  Dunno' what you want from me specifically, pathy.

Once I saw that date, I immediately thought of you, so I just couldn't resist posting something mentioning you in some way. ;) Besides, you pretty much summed up the episode by what you said in your last post.

I don't particularly care for 1 Right Price, but I do like the fact that it has been played first more this year it seems than in years past. It seemed like it would get an annual #1 slotting and the rest of the season it'd be played either 4th or last. I wanna see Double Prices or even better Side-by-Side played first.

ORP: Drew really wants to give away prizes! Problem is, only 2 prizes would be available for this.

One-Bid #2: One bids $899, then comes $901...and then he bids $900?

Tempty: I probably would've walked away as well, with almost $3,500 in cold, hard cash!

Bullseye: Nice win. Although I'll echo what a few people have said about polling the audience in this game. Just pick one and hope for the best.

SCSD #1: Great appearance by Roger! I'll miss these random moments with him...

L7: Was a bit surprised to see this in the 4th slot. I would've probably lost by $1 at the end of this.

Punchy: Always happy to see my favorite game be played, especially when someone wins $5,000 or $10,000. Easy SP's and a good payout!

DP: I would've gone with $4,598. Just from a glance it looked better than $5,589.

Showcases: Car: $34,215  --- $1,820
                 Piano: $20,750  --- $8,567

That piano showcase was on serious Dob-oids! Although it might have been the fact that I completely underpriced the cappuccino machine for some reason...  :-D

Much better lineup this time.

1RP: The ski equipment was more expensive than I thought.
Tempty: She smartly took the prizes, but I would've won the car.
Bullseye: Definitely some different products there, especially the squegee.
L7: Hard when an 8 is thrown in there, but I would've won easily.
Punchy: Good thing she took the 5000.
DP: Easy. I think I've seen that prize and that price before, and I was almost certain she lost.

My showcase bids were BAD, to say the least. How is that second one 29,000?!?!

I enjoyed the show though, as I always do.
Retired Games that should be brought back:
Barker's Bargain Bar, Buy or Sell, Superball!, Super Saver, Split Decision, Give or Keep, Hurdles, Penny Ante, Walk of Fame

SS1: Roger plays ?Switch?, and wins. Over/under on the thumbs up avatar for members, 2.5

Am I the first? :-D  (Only reason it even took me this long was because I had to download the whole thing from my TiVo first.)  Great appearance from Roger for perhaps the last time.

This was the 4pm taping on June 25th, the same day I was in the audience for the 1pm.  Drew really seemed off his game in this one when compared to the previous show--lots more flubs.

1RP: 1000th playing??!! Whatever the case, I still raise my glass.  :pint: Good win.

Temptation: With almost $3500 in cash offered, Why risk it all for the likes of a Dodge Nitro?  ;-) Glad she quitted.

Bullseye: Very nice.

Lucky 7: Would've blown it on the last digit.

Punch: $5K is the way to be.

Double: Sorry, Wrong choice.

Showcases: Close finish.

A 3-star show.
