Maybe this has been posted somewhere already, but I don't see a thread about it anywhere, so here goes...
Price's Instagram account had a post yesterday asking for videos from fans. In the video are what appear to be two modified logos for Season 50. Here's the post in question (https://www.instagram.com/p/CSaI8Ech99X/), and screenshots of the logos are below.

So, on the first day of taping, Amber posted a photo to IG of cupcakes featuring a 50 logo with "The Price is Right" inside the zero...

I've been doing some searching on IG and found backstage evidence that this logo is going to be featured on the doors this season...

(Those two posts come from people working backstage at TVC on unrelated projects. The one with the rock (https://www.instagram.com/p/CR9CRJCHm00/) is a movie called Moon)
There are other (https://www.instagram.com/p/CRwXdorL2_P/) posts (https://www.instagram.com/p/CRy1Td5LvIU/) on IG from a seminar for women in production design that show the big doors in the background with their center panels missing and on a cart off to the side.
I could imagine a situation where the logo from the cupcake is the main logo and the one we'll see in the intro and the gold 50 Years logo perhaps being placed between the doors like the 40 Years thing they had 10 years ago.
Excited about the new door logo because outside of when they changed the doors from the 2D logo to the 3D logo, this is the first major door logo change since...Season 36?

Oh wow. I definitely like that logo more than the regular logo with the tiny "50 Years" on the top. Then again, pretty much anything beats the Season 40 logo.

I'd call Season 41 a pretty big change; 3D logo, significantly smaller, everything lights up... but yeah, the only other big change in the Drew era was adopting the MDS doors for Season 37.

It just hit me that the bottom of that 5 is the bottom of a Pricedown dollar sign.
That's pretty damn clever.

When you hit 50 years, you might as well go big! Revising the doors is pretty big, considering how much more high tech they are these days.
A thought occurred to me. If they are going to keep the studio as-is for a while, perhaps they could replace the oversized asterisk with the 50 Years logo.

Maybe it's just the lighting in the photo, but do the blue doors look to be painted a bit darker than they were?

Very subtle observation, but the new door logo seems to be fully LED, as it doesn’t appear to have any color to it — just like the door panel squares that light up. That could mean they will be able to display whatever colors they want on the logo (Christmas, Valentines themed, etc.). I’m excited to see this in action!

Ooh. This is the first time since that wheel debuted in 2008 that there's a change to the color of its panels. Also, the gold color is also a nice throwback to when it debuted in 1975. I like how classy it looks.
I wonder if this means the carpet in front of the wheel will also be changed.

I wonder if the home base and turntable would get a new look, or they would just be jazzed up with anything-that's-golden decor. And yes, gold on the wheel panels look very elegant and simple. It lessened the squares we see on set after the absence of the hypocycloid-filled set.

I can’t find the photo now, but on Instagram a few weeks back there was also lots of curved panels similar to George’s podium (with the squares and the monitor) in the shop. Way more than what would be needed for just the podium. I’m wondering if there will be a new home base wall made of those, or some other new set piece.

The gold panel on the wheel looks very nice. I'm guessing the 50 on the wheel will be covered in gold also.

I could see that, perhaps just sprinkled on (like making the name on each game gold) or using gold as the main color of the game rather than what it currently is.

I would think either Golden Road or Any Number since it was the first ever pricing game played (possibly followed by Bonus Game and Double Prices).

I wonder if they're for the audience. If they're still not going to be at a full audience level they might be doing a temp redesign in a similar manner to Let's Make a Deal.

Love the logos and the colors of the set look very nice together. They've also made the audience area very similar to what Let's Make a Deal had last season.
Little surprised there's no changes to the Showcase podiums.

I'm so happy the Contestant's Row I know and love is back. The Season 49 version never did it for me at all.

While I didn't mind not having an audience, and would never criticize a show for doing what it feels right to do in such a dangerous pandemic, it is nice to have an audience of some kind back.
It does look like that several COVID protocols are still in place...not only do we have the podding, but as I pointed out in Discord, that's not the normal Contestant's Row, it's the wider version that they use on couples/group shows.
Given though that the mic handoff we know is returning, I'm inclined to think that while the distancing between staff may be reversed (between Drew, George, and the models), they will still distance themselves from the other contestants, and continue to distance contestants themselves.

I completely agree. The show did what they had to do to start producing new episodes. It was weird at first but it wasn't all bad.
The wider Contestants Row set piece will work well. It won't look so odd now.

Perhaps the seating is based on the contestants (or potential contestants)?
Since that view shown has many 3's, but also a 4 seat (back right of the screen) and the one 2 seat in the front.
Basically, once they pick who will be there for the show, they are allowed to select people to come with them (one-three, possibly) to watch and that way each is seated in a section?

Based on additional photos in the Discord chat (see the ‘Spoilers’ channel), I estimated there to be roughly 20 ‘pods’ — four to the left behind George, 11 or 12 in the middle and four to the right (the latter for symmetry’s sake, though I’ve seen no pictures of the right side to confirm this).
Each pod pictured shows seating for 2-4 people. If we take the (presumed) average of three people per pod, multiplied by 20 pods, that’s ~60 people, give or take maybe 5-10. Given the circumstances and especially compared to last season, you’ll hear absolutely no complaints from me! Gotta love those odds of being called down, too — assuming no participants are given a guaranteed shot at being a contestant with fresh audiences each taping.
My theory is each pod of 2-4 people will consist of either family members or friends. The variations in pod sizes make no sense if people are randomly grouped together, plus it runs counter to the point of distancing, which the show is obviously still promoting, albeit a bit more relaxed than last season. If we’re pairing complete strangers together, we might as well have a normal audience but masked. Friends/family is a safer bet.
Edit: I just noticed the second photo posted here does show the right side, only flipped as a selfie. Looks like my theory of four pods on the right may be confirmed.

So we know two games that will be played for a million on premiere week now, one was pretty much a given of course. Could use a better look at the doors but I'm not crazy about the 50 years logo on them, wish it was something bigger and not just small in the center.

Short of a total redesign, this was quite probably the best they could do given the complexity of the doors. We’re long past the days of simply slapping a coat of paint on some wood frame cutouts to change the design. What we have now is the modern-day equivalent to what we had for three decades during the Barker era. By that measure, these doors probably aren’t going anywhere for many years to come, and I’m personally OK with that (although a logo refresh from S51-onward would be nice as the ‘07 logo with the random polygons is looking a bit dated, IMO).

They do more than enough these days that's over the top. I actually think the doors look great.

Yeah the show has done a lot over the years. I probably will reserve judgement until the season comes (and goes). OTOH I might not have an opinion about the logo. It's not a big deal since the logo's only there for this season, before going back to the regular one. Had it been bigger I admit I would have favored that more than what they're using this year. FWIW, the big doors could've been a mess if they went all-in (a la Season 25/30/35). Just my opinion

Agreed. I've never liked the polygon trapezoid things from day 1. They've created massive inconsistencies with the logo over the years. I'm just glad the dollar sign in the logo is the same height as the words again. I never quite understood why they shrunk it years ago.

I love the little anniversary logos on all the holes in Punch-a-Bunch. Nice touch.
I do wish the logos were a bit bigger on the doors, but I’m sure I’ll get used to them.

FWIW, the big doors could've been a mess if they went all-in (a la Season 25/30/35). Just my opinion
Personally I really liked the season 25 and 30 Big Doors, but something like that wouldn't fit with the door designs now and going back to the pre-season 31 look would be a nice homage but probably not worth doing just for one season.

They've done a impressive job. The modifications are done tastefully enough to be carried throughout the season.

The door motif sticks out so much on the new age set that I actually like it. First glance looks as if the game will play similarly to Range Game, can't wait to see it in action.

The new game is still shown, I guess the video was edited to ad an e to Alexis' name in the subtitles? Or they just wanted to wait an extra day.
