Price is Right Recaps! / Re: TPiR Recap - 5/15/2024

10 Chances! One of my favorite games! Lucky that Isiah won the drone with just two chances; like Drew, I also was getting worried that he wouldn’t win the auto. Great suspense though in a great game; made for a great win! :-D

He started really well..Seemed to know that the price always ends in zero...then started otherwise.  Glad he won.  I didn't think the 8 was the right second number...but it was..

Congrats on being called on down, Jacob! One of the moderators should see your post and grant your spinning star in the next couple of days.

I was there with you Jacob....I did 5 shows in 3 days.  I think you did 6 in 3.  I didn't get to come on down..but came home with Covid :(

I sat next to  Michael who won a Trip to Hawaii.  I am heading back for shows June 3-5..One more try before the end of taping for the year

Plus, I think he (still) owns a professional sports team.
He owns a minority stake in the Seattle Sounders.

I get the impression he doesn’t want to do any of that and just wants to enjoy life. Dude is in his mid-60s. He occasionally does comedy shows (he was here in Springfield a few years ago for one night only), but he talked a lot about going to music festivals, including EDC, when I was at tapings last month, and hobbies.

Couldn't agree more.  The guy is the face of TPIR.  He is living the dream.  Plus, I think he (still) owns a professional sports team.  If Drew was a couple decades younger more or less, then maybe he does other stuff.  But I think he's set for life at this point.

For the record, I'm not interested in derailing this thread into an argument about Davies.

If it's any consolation, I feel the same way about Jeopardy! post-Trebek. I thought Mike Richards would do well and look what happened. I thought Michael Davies would do well and look what happened.

(Pauses to look what’s happened) It’s done very well and has settled nicely into its new era.

Also: they missed the ball with The Zoom™ Home Game during covid.

I had this exact thought; that was the perfect time to bring it out of retirement. Would have been an awesome way to engage the home audience!
