Please tell me why the producers of the show allow the male models to wear swimsuits and not the female models. Is there sexism being played here. For example Devin presented a hot tub in one episode with a swimsuit on and today Manuela presented a hot tube with a dress on. This happens all the time. Explain.

Alexis does in fact, model in swimsuits. Also, you know as well as I do, James and Devin shirtless is far more attracting to the demographic of daytime television. There's no requirement that Amber, Manuela and Rachel have to.

This is my favourite era of the show; and the word I think best describes this time in the show's history electric.  The contestants go absolutely delirious when they are called.  The fast-paced camerawork conveys the intensity of the excitement in the atmosphere, and Barker's in fine form bringing out the best in the contestants without being a grump.
It's my favorite era too, and my fondest memories of watching the show when it originally aired.

Enough Already with the fur coat ban being an excuse to withhold these '70s episodes.  Release them from purgatory and air them already.  Pluto ... Buzzr ... somewhere.

And, if I'm reading one article correctly, the episodes on the debut will be some from when the former Goodson-Todman Productions became Mark Goodson Productions (1984-85)
I (foolishly) hoped they'd start with some hour-long episodes from the 1970s.  Now I'm wondering if those episodes will ever see the light of day, aside from what's already on YouTube.

if anything, i'd liken it more to what Deal or No Deal would be if it actually had a pace faster than a snail on molasses

I really enjoyed this show.  Let Em Roll is nice as a cash game - it was an interesting decision and totally reasonable for the contestant to risk $25,000 for $100,000, which is not always the case in these games - and is an example of a car game that should be able to double as a non-car game more often, even in normal shows (not necessarily with a $100,000 prize).   Having three usual car games in the lineup without any of them being the shorter games (TTM, Money Game, Lucky Seven) was neat too.

Every game involved the contestant performing a physical action which also made for an enjoyable lineup.

I loved the Switcheroo segment.  As mentioned, the contestant basically got to play Switcheroo and Bonus Game at the same time.  I would argue this made for a more interesting 'Bonus Game' game than the actual Bonus Game is.  I loved the car being rolled out Lucky Seven-style and wish this happened more often for other turntable car games. I didn't have any issue with the explanation of the bonus and how it worked, although it felt odd that the description of the prize was a lot longer than that of the car due to the amount of extra prizes the bonus included.

"GOTC" is "Garf of the Century". Named after a former high-poster here, it signifies a bid with a greater than $10k difference.
A "BLITZ" happens when every player overbids except for one. a "ZLITB" is the reverse of this.

Balance Game was far too unbalanced. 5 14 18 means your options are 19 23 32. Was anyone looking at that set and going 32000?

They just didn't want Switcheroo and Line em Up won, - they wanted a perfect show here.  Balance Game was practically a gimmie too.
Nah, the middle option needs to be right for that to be true.

The Switcheroo bonus was not well explained at all.

You can say that again.

I've liked a good deal of the Jackpot January game variations, but here, I would have just been happy with Let 'Em Roll being the Jackpot game. Mashing up Switcheroo with Bonus Game just didn't work.
