4/10/98 (ep. 5001)
« on: September 03, 2006, 11:29:02 AM »
Hey hey, I'm here with the 5,001st episode of the daytime "Price is Right" aired on April the 10th, 1998.

4/10/98

The unofficial policy of leaving some rushed recaps of previously done shows up and deleting others based on the lining of the planets and current number out of a bingo hopper that day has left me to posting my versions of the Grand Game debut and Yolanda incident/Secret X debut to my site. Check the front page within the day for those. Also, be on the lookout for recaps of an internet version I hosted, "Palace Price is Right," performed on the Palace software.

Act 1: Rod mentions that Studio 33 was renamed "The Bob Barker Studio." Freeze Frame seemed like a forced win, but it wasn't.

Act 2: A ZERO as the third digit in the price of a car? I would have NEVER guessed that.

Act 3: This guy really messed up on the first prize, to say the least.

Act 4: This lady REALLY wanted the $500.

Act 5: Kathleen Bradley's reaction wa priceless, a photo of this is available at tpir.tv.

Act 6: Rod's prize copy gets shuffled around, and next thing you know, we're bidding on a car. Oops, I mean a dinnette.

Showcases: It's REALLY painful when a contestant overbids by only $100, especially when it results in a double overbid.
