But see, I don't miss 'em, prizes. Even if they've been abandoned for months.

Congratulations.  I've added your Gold Star status.  Sorry to see you had to deal with women's clothing!  (Consider it no loss!)

Switch?: It's been a while since I heard a contestant get booed because of a switch that was not needed. Liked it, though.

Pocket ¢hange: [Groan!!]

Balance Game: Something told me to just pick the two bags. I was right. TOTALLY WRONG.

Hi-Lo: So tempted to pick the creme brule mix. Did, with the thought that at least the Gorton's (and the foil) would be higher than that.

One Bid 5: Ah, the double overbid in the Row. Kinda contradicts that possibility of not airing overbids. I guess it's a time thing if they want to put the overbids in or not.

Range Game: Ah, this takes  me back to last week: The wanting to stop but didn't and went over the price, etc...

Oh, don't remind me. I had a rough birthday period because of it (The Feb 23-24, 2004 skunkings).

Swap Meet: "Okay, what can I swap two iPods for? I think I'll pick the bikes.
 8-O
 8-O
and  8-O. I was silent with my eyes wide during the whole break.

Showcases: [Groan and Horns] "They are not gonna let them just stand there during the ending, are they? They are! boring."

Hmm, it sometimes seem as if my watching of Price in the morning horoscopes my day. It turns out these last two days were subpar because of the results of the last two episodes. I hope I am wrong on this.

The first showcase had some of the best writing I can remember since the Halloween showcases.

On the other hand, the second showcase was another good example of why they shouldn't put the contestants into these scripts without telling said contestants.

And wow...I'm used to seeing contestants join up right after their appearance on the show, but I'm not used to seeing that they've already been members for three years and have just never posted.  I'd say "welcome aboard," Kiley, but you've obviously been here a while already!

Not sure how I like the ending of the show. It seems weird to try to get everyone standing in front of the audience. Maybe it'll grow on me.

I thought it worked better the first time they tried it than it did today, and I'm not really sure why.  I did notice that they didn't have any of the prizes on display, and it felt pretty odd.

Rob, I'm not quite sure of all games why you're really desperate to see Take Two/Shopping Spree out, especially considering Swap Meet wasn't a bad choice by any means. They're not really the most fascinating games, beyond if we were to see them for the first time. It puzzles me why they haven't been brought out, but frankly, I don't see why they're missed that much.

They're missed 'cause they haven't been played in four months.  It's as simple as that.  Some of us just don't like to see games get retired.

And yes...as cool as Swap Meet sixth was, I'd much rather have seen Shopping Spree or Take Two today.  Or Step Up, for that matter.  Or Credit Card.

But see, I don't miss 'em, prizes. Even if they've been abandoned for months.

Well, that's great.  We do.

Because we haven't seen either game for months. Not once this year, at least fot TT (not sure of SS, but, that says something, no?). If you're going to use a 4-prizer, use one that hasn't been seen in awhile. These two are lonnng overdue. I assume Rob means this. If he does, I agree wholeheartedly.

That's what I meant Prizes. Though I will say Take Two is the 2nd best of the 4 prize games they have (Race being 1st in my opinion). I'm just as desperate to see Credit Card as well since it hasn't been seen since the Halloween episode or Step Up for that matter I don't even remember the last time it showed up.

Drew was way off his game today. He sort of just phoned in his performance, at best seeming unhappy to be at the show, at worst seeming frustrated. His jokes were really awful and I felt bad for poor Ann Marie. Here she is, all excited and enthused to be on the show, and Drew just ruins it by rudely asking if she needs an exorcist and referring to The Omen.

I noticed this too.  I laughed at his Omen joke, but all the life went out of him and the show after that.  Now in reading some of the comments, it seemed out of place.  The comments the poster made about Ann-Marie were spot-on.  Drew ruined this episode.  I thought the 6/10 rating was generous, at best he was a 4/10.  One of his worst this season.  Do you think consolation could be granted if this was taped when Drew was still sick with phenomena?

I have never seen a host fluctuate from show to show.

I guess with all the bad reviews of today's show, all I can say is you just have to roll with the punches. With as many good or decent shows as of late, there was bound to be a stinker.

Maybe Good Friday will bring a good show, no?

One-Bid #1:  Shoot the green screen columns!

?Switch?:  Just what Kiley needs--dresses.  Hee hee.  Welcome once again to our little corner of the Internets, Kiley! :-)

Pocket:  Ugh!  Had that last number been 5 instead of 6, she would've won.

Hi-Lo:  Is it me or did that gum have the shortest and most boring description for a product in the history of TPIR?  "Chew this long-lasting and tasty gum."  ???

One-Bid #5:  Well... looks like garffreak was wrong yesterday.  The era of BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ is not over.  Yet.

Swappy:  Enough Swap Meet for a while, Adam!  And enough sucky MP cues, Stan!  Thank God David won this fairly difficult setup; otherwise, it would've been a double 0-fer-6 for the first time in 5 years.  All of us in chat thought those bikes matched the iPods.  That was one cheapo desk.

SC #1:  Shoot the green screen columns again!

My showcase bids:
Trip/waverunner--$18,507
Room/motorcycles--$18,507

Result:  That had to be the cheapest trip to Jamaica ever.  The ghetto airline strikes again.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Switch?: Well, at least you enjoyed the experience. Welcome aboard, Kiley!!

Pocket: Poor Ann Marie. Duped by the last digit and it costed her tragically. She was such a BLAST, too!!

Balance: Too bad.

Hi Lo: The "sexed-up" Gorton's fish strikes another victim.  :-x

Range: Darn it!!!

Swap: HOLY S$%T!!!!  :-o :-o :-o How in the blue heaven could a Desk and chair cost the same as Ipods??!! I, too was duped into going with the bikes and David gets an ALL HAIL for saving us from the Pepe.  :D

Showcases: Seeing Gwen getting the rain all over her was the highlight of the whole thing while the prizes just didn't seem to be all that wonderful. I kinda accepted the ending with Drew and the crew in front of CR, but it's also starting to slowly grow on me, too.

A 2-star show.
