I actually thought I DSW'd in chat, but apparently I suck in math.  Oh well.  It's been a while since I last cashed in a showcase though.

$27,400/$18,300... I definitely didn't back into this win. Armadillo, what made you go so low on the second showcase? I would like to think you knew that ski/snowboard equipment is fairly expensive.

Well, this is the story of my CSS life lately: On one showcase, I have a solid bid which isn't quite enough to cash, and then I garf the other badly.

2nd place! Woohoo!

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

There was so much crap in that showcase, I completely forgot what all I was bidding on by the end of it!

(Also, I seem to think gas is still $4 a gallon or something, the way I WSD'd #1...sigh.)

With what little was in that first showcase, that was a high price. That explains my garfing on it. The second one I didn't do too bad on it.

Nothing like a little midweek cash.  :-)

2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

One of the problems with having a no-OVER streak on the line is that you're more likely to shave in order to protect it.  This is one of those cases when that ended up costing me cash, as well as a points win.  I originally had $28,412 for the car, but I had second thoughts (Hyundais can be pretty cheap) and shaved it down.

I had the second-best bid on SC2, which has been the story of my life in CSS this season.  At least I get 90 points to show for it.  :-)

One of the problems with having a no-OVER streak on the line is that you're more likely to shave in order to protect it.

This is why I never bother to think of CSS as anything other than a series of independent events.  Can't be affected by a no-over streak if you never realize you have one.
