Range Game: Oh, so close but so far for Shannon.
Danger Price: Good try for Edna.
Balance Game: A good effort by Gordon, but it wasn't enough.
Check Out: This was a tough playing here.
More or Less: So close for Catherine!
Safecrackers: And Robert saves the day!
As Bob would say, "With the last game of today's show being won, that should mean we'll be hot tomorrow".
Dr. Pepper: Not recommended for Skype chats

Range Game: I was thinking about $20,500 myself.

OB #2: How I envy Josh and Dan, for getting to work out with Amber.

Danger Price: I was thinking stay away from the computer.

Balance Game: tough loss.

Check-Out: There were some tough grocery products in there today, IMO. On a side note, I agree with Drew that Wanda did not look like she was 50.

More or Less: This is the farthest we’ve seen somebody go in this game in a while.

Safe Crackers: We have a winner!! Robert saved us from the skunk.

Showcases: I didn’t get to see the showcases due to the news conference, but by reading the descriptions, they didn’t look too bad.

We got a good show today. I was expecting something like Double Prices, or Pick-a-Number to show up last, but I was pleasantly surprised when Safe Crackers showed up. I was even more surprised that two 4-prize games were played as well.

Just finished watching this entire episode on-air (sorry to those that were preempted today).  I haven't posted to a recap in a while, so here's some comments:

RANGE:  I don't know, Range Game for a car doesn't really do it for me anymore.  It was cool when it was a novelty, but it seems to be a bit overplayed now.  That coupled with the fact that it seems like nobody ever wins it...wait, that must be why they do it.

IUFB2:  The Y&R guys make an appearance.  Somewhat cheesy, but at least we know they won't be back until the end of the show...

DANGER:  That was really the easiest setup we've had in this game for a while--I was totally surprised that Edna went with the computer after finding that the clock wasn't the danger price.

This game is getting more play (which is nice because it is one of my favorites), but it'd really be nice to see an appearance of one the missing 4-prizers or Credit Card...

BALANCE:  $3k isn't too cheap for an Ashley bed, but with the added designer bedding, I was guessing 4k would be the proper combo.

CHECK OUT:  I thought Wanda did pretty well with her guesses, albeit a bit high on the Capzasin.  That Gold Bond cream threw me for a loop as well, as I thought that was typically in the $7.00 range.

MORE OR LESS:  This was also the easiest setup we've seen for a while, and Catherine is the first person to make it to the car in some time.  That was a really tough setup for the car, though.

SAFE: Skunking prevented!  I noticed the envelope holding the combination has been updated to what looked like a red squares pattern, although the slip inside remained the same.

Speaking of "combination", I realized something during this playing that I'm not sure others have mentioned.  Drew, in his explanation of the game, leaves out the part about "the combination of the safe is the same as the price of the (smaller prize)."  He just asks the contestants to tell him the price of the smaller prize.  Not mentioning that the price is the combination really takes away from the purpose of the game.  Yeah, it's inferred, but it sounds better if explicitly stated.

SHOWCASES: So the models get a break today as Daniel and Joshua present their "romantic showcases".  Not bad, and the lack of over-the-top antics was appreciated. FWIW, I thought the second showcase was more romantic.

A side note:  This is the first time in some time that I can recall the top winner not passing the showcase.  In this case, Catherine really wanted the dance lessons as she stated she loves to dance.  But over the course of the season, it seems the first showcase has been passed on 95% of the time or more.  This kinda indicates to me what contestants think about the quality of showcases as of late...

A nice lineup today, totally expected a quickie at the end. Was really hoping to get a win in Danger Price and More or Less for a change.  :-(

Danger Price:  2 questions about this one:
1.  Has this game been won at all this season?
2.  What happened to "Big Banana Remix"?
More Or Less:  WHAT!?!? :-o  There's no way in heck that Impala's $24,540!
Safe Cracker:  YAAAAAAAAAAY!  NO SKUNK!  I see we have a new envelope for the price card for this game, too.  Looks neat!
Showcases:  Yeah, I missed the showcase too.

Not too good overall, IMHO.

Finally pieced the whole thing together.

-Lineup: Wow, this was pretty great for no SP. Did we seriously one have one quickie in Rangey?
-Rangey: I managed to hit the $1mil jackpot on this, but it was pretty low on the scale. 8/10
-Danger: What??? That Dell was cheap, so the bag wasn't. >_> 8/10
-Balance: Ashley is usually cheap...hmm. 8/10
-SD1: 4/5
-Check-Out: Bah, she screwed up one too many times. 7/10
-MoL: Awwwwwwww......but no surprise the car fake was an absolute trick either. 8/10
-Safey: 5993 - 760 = 5233 - a price we've seen before. Whew. 9/10
-SD2: 4/5
-SC1: Random double trips? Really? 4/5
-SC2: A bit better, I guess. 4.5/5
-Results: Ugh, no suspense at all really. 6.5/10
-Drew: Pretty average today...until I noticed just watching the ending he was quite bland. Come on Drew, full effort when the tape's rolling! 7/10

PGs: 48/60
SDs: 8/10
SCs: 15/20
Drew: 7/10

78 --> C+
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

After watching the showcases online, I have to say that they were really good. They weren't too over-the-top, like some of the showcases have been this year. I will say that they almost would have worked better on the Valentine's day show, due to their themes.

The Showcase was surprisingly good.  I'd also go so far as to say that Daniel Goddard could easily make a career for himself as a voiceover guy in the unlikely event that Y&R ever gets cancelled.

That said, I didn't like one bit how Drew completely ignored the contestants at the beginning of the Showcase.

It's not often that someone manages to go over on Check-Out with something like Capzasin in the mix.

One-Bid #1:  "Drew, I wanna lei you!"  Well, there goes the G rating.

Range:  This game really needs to tone down on the car offerings.  Once a season is fine, but that's it.

One-Bid #2:  Soap opera star cameos = FAIL.

Danger:  Another cue fail for this game.  Stan, where the hell are our bananas?!  And how the hell was this game lost?!

Balance:  Wow, an Ashley bed costs $4,700?  That's more than some Ashley bedroom groups.

MoL:  Yay!  More or Less!  With the Phone Home Game cue! :P Well, the three prizes were easy... but the car was hard.  That was a base model Impala.  I thought for sure it would be only $22,000.

Safe:  Whew!  Robert prevents another invasion of the Dancing Wagners®.

Pre-empted Showcases:  Both of those showcase ARPs were messed up.  SC1 might as well have been a Fireball Special, as cheap as those exotic trips were.  And Paris in SC2 was on steroids.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Open - The Main Theme, Rich's announcing, and the logo graphic were all slightly out of sync...
Rangey - Ouch!  Remember when Range Game for a car was a 'special treat'?
OB#2 - When I first saw the Y&R guys, I thought 'not this again...'
Danger - WHERE is Big Banana Remix?
Balance - The moment I saw the prize, I knew there was something up with that bedding.  I was right.
MoL - Drew seemed to give a subtle hint during the third prize.  "900 for ALL those tools..."  That Impala was tough, though.
OB6 - That green screen effect wasn't bad.  I still wish they'd get rid of it.
Safe - Yay! :-D Robert saves the show!  Good close-ups of the dials as well.
SCs
$17,150 (-1649)
$18,800 (OVER)
I was expecting the worst, but I actually enjoyed the Showcases.  Only a $305 difference between the ARPs?

Hey, no quickie games played today (unless you count Safe Crackers, a disguised version of Double Prices).

Only one game won, but I did like the line-up of games and the Showcases.

It looks like Drew, the models, and the Y&R guys are now ready for Dancing with the Stars8-)
