February 1, 2001: Amazing Playing of Hit Me

Ideally, as Bob said over the years, you want to pick the item that is marked with its exact price to get the ace, which you can make 11, and then pick the one multiplied by 10 to get a face card or 10 and have blackjack.  I don't know what this contestant was thinking here when she was playing, but she may be the luckiest Hit Me player in the history of the show.

That was...weird. I had the ace and 10 picked out immediately of course, I would think 23.90 / 10.49 is obvious. :P
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

It's amazing that she won picking everything BUT the two that you'd pick for a traditional Hit Me perfecta.  She almost seemed to be playing crazy like a fox....like she knew what she was doing all along.  Too bad she didn't go for the $10.49 as well, to get the 5-Card Charlie!  :P
