Yecch. If your name ends in -ello, -illy, -addy, or -air, then you had a respectable day. Then there's everyone else's performance (mine included) on an FRCar showcase, the second in as many weeks. And how cheap was that other stuff? Some of you overbid just a little (jmenjes with $148 over), and some of you overbit a lot ($11048 over by... well, do the math yourself).

Such is Monday. Joe_Mello pulled out a DSW on the Splendido showcase (heels was only $95 behind him, too), and Willy takes money for the car.

Now, some of you may say that Joe_Mello fouled. Well, I have made an executive decision that you have to PM me your bid. If you accidentally declare it beforehand, you only have yourself to hurt (let's face it, most days if we saw PriceFan985's bid and could still submit our own, we'd one-up it, or ten-up it). But since the chat software also ate me and I had to get all of the second showcase bids from the log, it's not a day to nitpick.

Today's cars make the ZX3 look expensive.  All you have to do is watch commercials to know that Calibers are cheap.  GoldenBulldog learned that it takes a lot to make them even 17,000+

I PM'ed my bid 5 seconds after I had accidentally spilt it, and it took about another 30 seconds for anyone to notice.  I wasn't sure if I was boned or not (which led to my subdued celebration), but I'll take it.

Damn.  I thought the Calibur was the car played for in Ten Chances last week (which was $21K), but that was the Fusion.  The Calibur was in Pass the Buck.

  If " expensive" ..  think 28 ish.. will keep you from theSaturn overbids.

 If " cheapie" looking..
 think Focus/Cobalt-ish.

  Seems to work for me.

I had an awesome bid on Splendido!, but even if I wouldn't have OVERED on the other SC, Mello had an awesomer bid than I.
