Say a prayer
« on: September 19, 2009, 02:23:14 PM »
Everyone please say a prayer for my mom.  She had to be taken to the hospital this morning in an ambulance because my dad tried to wake her up and she had a strong pulse and breathing, but was just not waking up.  And even right now she is just waking up for a few seconds then sleeping again.  I will keep everyone up to date as I get them.

Thank you everyone.  Just for an update, my sister sent me a text saying my mom is much more alert and is talking to the nurses now.  Her regular doctor came in and said he even thinks it was the medication my mom took that did it.  She might be able to come home tomorrw.

I was typing when you updated.

I'm glad she's doing better. People have to be very careful with multiple prescriptions.

Good to hear she's doing better.  Make sure her doctor reports it as an adverse event.  I work for a drug company, and they stress how important it is to report adverse events when taking drugs, even if you don't think it's the drug that caused the illness.

That's no doubt a relief that the cause was identified.  Very scary situation.
