CSS Results for October 27

Some days I wonder what game show I'm dealing with as I go through CSS. Today it appears to be The $100,000 Pyramid since the overbids are 7-11 (reversed, actually, but 7 on the furniture, 11 on the Lexus). Granted, the last time we saw a Lexus was the $47K one in Lucky $even, but this SUV is (by comparison) surprisingly affordable. Its base price is about $37K.

As far as the other showcase, your guess was as good as mine. Ashley is cheap, flowers for a year are a thousand dollars if that, and then this new kind of outdoor furniture, a barbecue, other salted-in random crap... eh.

I was suprised that nobody had the obvious bids. $45K or $21K even would have gotten you a nice DSW, but we all seem to be into bidding with superstition or patterns or something cute like that. I do it too. But wouldn't it have been exciting?! Nevertheless, if you scored, you got 75 points or more; top seven got at least 90. 88JRFAN wins by being one of the few players with good bids on BOTH showcases; TPIRSteven edges him out by a small margin for cash on the indoor/outdoor showcase.

Richie could have been epic. But unfortunately, at least for today, it's an epic FAIL.

$47,300/$19,400... a shot at a rare win over Armadillo is blown. I'm not mad at myself or anything... it just stings to come that close and fall short.

My 11:00 Tuesday/Thursday class was cancelled today, allowing me to play on a day that I would normally be unable to.  And I must say I certainly took advantage of it!

If only I could have more performances like this on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays...

Wow, I'm kinda glad I couldn't play, although I'd probably pull a yesterday and do a massive garf on one of them and do super good on the other.

Wow. I can't believe I got the lexus Showcase. For the 2nd showcase, I didn't want to bid 19000 but somethin inside me said "This may be pretty expensive". Good job tpirsteven on winning SC2
