10C was the only real highlight of this show...Cliffy was expectedly hard in that the middle prize was 20, so it's not a big surprise he lost.

Way too many trips AGAIN...
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Fun playing of Ten Chances.. I thought she was catching on, then maybe not.. then she wins! Plus cutting to the shots of her mom giving her horrible incorrect answers was amusing.
You people make me sick.  Every last one of you.

In the early days of Drew's tenure, I was amazed that he would not lose his patience when he had someone like Tierney play Ten Chances.  But now, after listening to interviews and watching old clips, Drew just standing there and sometimes rambling on sucks the fun out of the game when Bob was still there.  As I said before, Ten Chances was fun, especially in Bob's later years, was because when you were getting frustrated, Bob was there getting frustrated with you.  Even a couple of Joe Plinkos I was watching the show with today and I were laughing at how Tierney played and it would have been all the  more amusing to see Drew put more effort into the act and have fun with her taking too long or several guesses to win a prize.

Jason ties the record for most cash taken in Let 'em Roll, and I don't blame him for bailing out.

Speaking of Let 'em Roll, what the heck was that third grocery item?  One of the JP's (Joe Plinkos) said that you refrigerate it, put it over your eyes when you sleep and it's a stress-reliever.

Let me just say:  a showcase with a camera and two trips.  BORING...at least it was a halfway decent digital camera!

I knew he should have left the prices alone in Switch?

Jason taking the bailout in Let 'em Roll was the best move. He had the second highest amount he could have walked away with after rolling 1 car. The odds of rolling 4 more were probably against him (not 100% sure). I would have bailed myself.

Kathy totally wanted Make Your Move won. That was too easy.

The contestants who don't understand Ten Chances are just as entertaining as those who wipeout in Cliff Hangers. I almost thought she was related to Joy for a minute after that playing.  :oldlol: But to come back and win it was just awesome.

Cliff Hangers' second prize was kinda tough, but after Ten Chances, I was happy to see this show up.

Again, way too many trips in the showcases, but also with a  :frbs: thrown in.

The right decision was definitely made in Let 'em Roll... but is it just me, or has it been a really long time since someone took the bailout in this game?

I agree with joeyboy - Make Your Move was very easy.

With all this talk about Bargain Bar and Clearance Sale... if they have to retire a game, make it Pick a Number. Especially with its increase in play, I can say definitively that it is my least favorite game, and today's crappy playing just further cemented that feeling.

Is Stan really so afraid of using "Sam" in Ten Chances that the Line 'em Up cue was used twice today? C'mon Stan - the classic cues are not frightening. Play them. They won't bite. Speaking of Ten Chances, very entertaining playing. She never really got the hang of the game, but that was part of the fun.

Cliff Hangers was tough, but it had a nice prize package. I did like that band's rendition of the main theme.

Once again, crappy trip-filled showcases.

I find it ironic how the show tries to mix up the prizes and offer "cool" things like over-stuffed trips and impossible to price items to make the show less "predictable." Yet, the same things happen every single time a show airs.

Let Em Roll:  I had mixed feelings about this one.  I was happy that Jason took the money and yet I was bummed at the same time 'cause I thought it would've been awesome if he'd taken his second roll & got 4 cars and won the car.
Ten Chances:  Pretty good win.
Cliff Hangers:  Rats! :-(  Perhaps the DS version of the video game would've worked better in the middle (I think that's the one that's $30).
Showcases:  Those must've been some expensive trips in Showcase 2; I was shocked when I heard the ARP! 8-O

Pretty good start to the week, IMHO.

pretty good line-up today.( at least i didn't miss seeing any of my favorite pricing games due to my having overslept )

Cliffy- i could smell a loss there

Ten Chances- awesome win
< loves it when Drew Carey attempts to make an inspiration putt, and when it misses the hole, he just does a little second putt with the ball to sink it

( as was in his 500th show) ROFL!!!

I agree with earlier posters: Make Your Move was easy - I even guessed correctly.  Split screen on Switch reveal - cool!

Roger didn't like the game. And it wasn't played nearly as much in Roger's era as it has been since Roger left. There was one season IIRC where it was played twice total.

I think what makes Pick A Number worse is that the prizes they play it for are often boring themselves.   Perhaps it's a game where they need to really make the prize the star, so make it something more unique than just an Ashley dining group.

 :headbang: PC=$20,  Nintendo=$30,  Wii=$40
Drew even made a point of saying "Which version is that?" Rich: "that's the PC Version."

Cliff Hangers' second prize was kinda tough

Now I KNOW who has me on ignore. (probably a dozen more after this post)

YES! Thank you Jebus. (and I agree, btw)

See - this is where not knowing the games bites you in the butt.  I thought the hot plate was more than $20, but when I saw the PC game I knew it had to be less.  I guessed  $15, then $20, then $35 for the tomato thing and my "Yodel-y Guy" only budged $5.  (Though to be fair, you wouldn't have heard the great song very long that way.)  They are tossing in the games more and more and it can really give you an edge.  I'm not saying this to be rude, but it's THE PRICE IS RIGHT, I know not everyone spent the entire week before going studying the prices of grandfather clocks, SkiDoos, Cars, hot tubs, Motorcycles, appliances, saunas, snowmobiles, etc. like I did, BUT: the least you can do is know the PRICE IS RIGHT game price if you go.  That's like showing up to pick up your prom date and not knowing what her NAME is.

And for the record, I agree with "Pick a Number."  There is no rhyme or reason to it.
I apologise in advance.

Yeah, $5,500 is a great amount to quit with in Let 'Em Roll.  No shame in that, Jayson.

Yay!  Make Your Move! :P

Like Pushover, Pick-a-Number should never be played for a room of furniture.

Yay!  Ten Chances! :P Boo for no Sam!  Finally!  A 10C winner!  It was frustrating to watch, but a win is a win.

I loved that digital piano rendition of the theme.

My showcase bids:
:frbs: --$28,107
Waterfalls--$20,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

I don't think they should retire Pick-a-Number (or any game for that matter). Pick-a-Number should be used for what it probably was designed for: a substitute game for if something else craps out, and Double Prices has already been played.

Is Stan really so afraid of using "Sam" in Ten Chances that the Line 'em Up cue was used twice today? C'mon Stan - the classic cues are not frightening. Play them. They won't bite. I couldn't agree more. It's bad enough that the Big Banana isn't used for Master Key anymore. We can't have Sam for Ten Chances anymore.

Now I KNOW who has me on ignore. (probably a dozen more after this post)

I don't have you on ignore.
