a small addition: Grande Gioco at some point was retitled Vinci Gli Zeri
Wow, the Italian version missed out on some great games.
Some of them I understand couldn't be played because they debuted after the Italian version went off.
however in Italy we had six original games
Jukebox
Super Vincita / Super Winning
Girasole / Sunflower
Chi dei Due / Which of the Two
Gran Menù / Grand Menu
Le Stelle in Gioco / Stars at Play
plus Bowling, that came from the French edition (and it was a rip-off of Pass The Buck anyway)
there are good news for a possible return of OK: the ban on product placement during TV shows is now lifted.
right now, the most probable networks to pick up the show are Canale5 and Italia1
if Canale5 gets it, the budget would be high enough to match the American edition, so no big changes are necessary. Heck, we might even see Million Euro Spectaculars!
Italia1 instead has a so-so budget and a younger target audience. Drewcases would be the norm, but with more half-naked dancing models
the show would be like TNPIR'94:
no contestants row, 3 pricing games, big wheel, single player showcase. maybe a cash bonus for a very good showcase bid
here's a list of "new" games I wish are added, with my translation
game / my translation / meaning
Bonkers / Roba da Matti! / crazy stuff!
Buy or Sell / Compravendita / buying-and-selling
Fortune Hunter / Caccia al Tesoro / treasure hunt
1/2 Off / Mezzo Prezzo / half price
1 Wrong Price / Il Prezzo è Sbagliato / the price is wrong (...Prizes!
)
Pass the Buck / Basta un Euro / just one euro (title of a show on mediaset's shopping channel)
Push Over / Dagli una Spinta / give it a push (title of a children song)
Side by Side / Side by Side
Switch? / Scambio? / switch?
Let 'em Roll / Las Vegas
That's Too Much! / Questo è Troppo! / that's too much!
plus I'd change a few existing name
Lucky $even: from Gioco dell'8 (game of
to Settebello, the nickname of the 7 of diamonds.
It used to give 8 bills to guess five digits, and since there won't be any five digit prizes, prompting the change to 7 bills for four digits.
Cliff Hangers: from Scogliera (reef) to Scalata (climb) to fit the alpine theme
It's in the Bag: from Abbinamento (match-up) to E' Nel Sacco! (it's in the bag!)
Pathfinder: from Esploratore (explorer) to Labirinto (labyrinth) because the player is supposed to be in a labyrinth and has to find his way out
offerta's translation for One Away is genius because Senso Unico means One Way and it fits perfectly for a car game where you have to send digits either upwards or downwards.
