CSS Results for December 31
« on: January 01, 2010, 02:44:13 AM »
When I first saw that today's show was "featuring favorite prizes from 2009" I thought it was a clip show. Obviously I was wrong, and we had a large number of players today, in fact I believe that it's the second biggest crowd to play CSS this season so far (the biggest was for the day the Verizon guy was on, which is kind of sad...)

Since the prizes were all ones we've seen this year, today's playing should have been easy. Emphasis on SHOULD HAVE. A few people managed to push too hard on the all-trip showcase (remember the $23K trip to Vegas? This was it); I'm one of them. Punchboard91 WSD'd it. And then the Jaguar bids ranged from near-DSW to epic garf. (rodroddyfan, it's a JAGUAR and that $15K ManWall. $40K isn't going to cut it).

Flerbert419 has far and away the best total difference, the only person to not garf at least one showcase. alumniseason35 paid attention to Jaguars and ManWalls and came close to DSWing. chad1m knows how to price extremely random expensive trips.

And that's the last playing of 2009, posted in 2010.

Meh, at least my bid on the Jaguar showcase was decent...I think I vastly underestimated the catered party again, though.

I thought for sure Greco would be all-out on the trips, but I swear NYC was very cheap.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Definately a good day for me.....would have been better with a DSW but I shouldn't get greedy.

$30,200/$74,400... a DSW is always great, but to do it on a showcase like that is just awesome. Definitely one of my best bids ever.

$25,230/$60,000 for Kristin... obviously, I get the win here, too.

The trip to New York seems low, and in bidding on SC2 I seemed to leave out the catered party and the chairs, having no real idea of their prices. Dumb.  ;)
