That's great news.
A Big Rich Fields Drew Carey And Jeff Davis Fan For Ever From Kirsten

Rich Fields Thanks Kirsten. I pick out and supply all of my own clothing. That light gray suit is hard to pair with shirts and ties... but I think the lavender shirt and purple patterned tie pulled it all together.

My Favorite Announcers On The Price Is Right Are Johnny Olson Rod Roddy Rich Fields Jeff Davis.

I Met And Took Two Pictures With Jeff Davis On May 24, 2012 He Is So Nice And Kind In Person.

Rich Fields said this about Drew Carey will always be the first to defend Drew (Carey). He's one of the most genuine, down to earth people in Hollywood that I've ever met. He was the first to come to me and tell me that the show was going in a different direction. He assured me it was not his decision to let me go and I believe him. No one else was open and honest about it, but Drew was. We've continued working together on different projects and we stay in regular touch. We'll be good friends well into the future.

He's going to get the job permanently next season, I bet.

At least Wheel seems to be a bit better use of his talents.
I'll put this in here, but I didn't want it to overshadow the more interesting topic of specials. Earlier in the show Mike and Beth talked about Jenny McCarthy's appointment to The View and it leads to Mike talking about her appearance on Price. Mike says that he and the staff mulled over whether or not to have her on the show because of the controversy that follows her. They ultimately decided to have her because she's "a great advocate for what she believes in." Now, Mike didn't specify exactly what he meant by "what she believes in" and what "belief" of her's that he's addressing, but that could certainly be taken the wrong way.

Rich Fields? Wow, I'll bet the people behind the scenes at Price are kicking themselves for letting him walk.

I hope he gets the job too, so he can exact his revenge on Fre--I mean, Dismantle! :oldlol:

I am really excited to hear him on Wheel. He's gonna get the job. I'm sure of it. It's a very easy show to fit into his schedule at KCBS. Can't wait.

I had an easy hunch Rich was going to be a guest announcer on Wheel. ;-) Good for him, especially with all those comments on his Facebook page.

Mike Richards must be smacking his own face hard for letting Rich go...

Would Rich be able to do road shows with his KCBS schedule, though? I guess he would. Randy West certainly deserves an on air tryout. I wouldn't mind seeing 60-something Bob Hilton get another crack at announcing, but I doubt he'd be thought of.

With him admitting he applied to The Price is Right the moment he heard Rod Roddy's heart stop beating, I'm not surprised.

Nice to see Rich back in the game so soon.

Agreed. Personally, for some reason, I didn't think KCBS would let Rich do this considering Wheel airs on KABC in L.A., but evidently, they are.

The show is distributed by CBS Television Distribution, which bought out King World several years ago. They probably worked something out.
