CSS Results for 11/16/2010
« on: November 16, 2010, 06:02:22 PM »
Well another somewhat "cheap" showcase, at least the 1st one.  3 DSW's on it, Wayoshi gets it, and the win today by 4 dollars.. Looks like x10 prevails over x06 today.  Kev, you would've had them both if you'd dropped 500 off your SC1 bid.  masterlock, enjoy your special status today as the only WOTC earner.  I'm actually shocked there were no WSD's today.

And then there was Showcase 2.  The extra bolding, small font, and italics on some of your bids on SC2 indicates that your bid didn't even cover the price of the Walk-In Wine Vault; a whopping $20K it was.  As expected, GOTC's on that one, 23 of them to be exact. (Gotta like those 2 people with the DSW/GOTC combo)  Kitch earns the best bid on that and gets the cash (as well as the best non-doubled raw score.  Couple more new players today as well, welcome to the madness.

This can only call for one thing:

S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

$23,300/$31,100... well, you not caring doesn't cost you a loss, since I went over also.

You can't just give up, though. I could have easily thrown in the towel back in the days when you routinely thumped me, but I kept at it in the hopes that I would come back. Obviously, it was worth it.

And Jon... the GOTCs should not have been expected. We've seen this thing before. It's way too unique of a prize to not be remembered.

Oh no, I still expected it. there's a LOT of newer players this season and even a couple of the old heads were in the low 20's.  Some of them would just get the shock of the ARP like the rest of us the 1st time in popped up on the show.

It could be my 12th overbid in the last 15 playings. If I continue like that, I will really finish below Stage Player. :headbang: >:(

For the record, I said $12k for the vault, I garfed it too.
Le Juste Prix, my childhood gameshow, and love TPIR.

HYO: $75,515 (SC 1/2 (loss against a DSW), PG 2/2, getting up on stage 2/8 - 2 FFBC)
CSS: 2 wins, 1 DSW, 2 WSD, $202,298, best bid $118.

I was traumatized by the vault last year. It wasn't gonna happen again.

Even though I got 7th place, it doesn't feel right with so much failure...

Ah, whatever. I'll take it.
