If you ignore what has to be the worst taping week Drew's ever had as a host (nothing blatantly wrong today, at this point he thinks hinting you are free to make no changes in Roo is enough) ...but he simply has not shown up lately), this was a pretty good show. Angelina proved to be a pretty clueless contestant even though she didn't consult the nuts at all [correctly] in Roo. I could swear she made more than one physical move on her second chance, so I dunno what happened there...the setup was pretty random & hard regardless. But then you couldn't really root for her when she tried to cheat / was super dumb.

Other than that, there was just Danger, which was actually pretty fair, guess she thought the cookware was three digits. Managed to get Freezy and ORP today, somehow. Showcases were due to be non-car, but not sure George was needed up front like that in SC1.

Lineup:

Switcheroo: L

1 Right Price: W

Freeze Frame: W for once.

Danger Price: L

Pick a Pair: W

Any Number: W

Overrall: A Pretty good show. One thing is that Drew needs to tell the contestants they can stop anytime on Switcheroo, unless they get zero or one right.

Roger, when was the last time someone tried to stop the wheel on their own?

One thing is that Drew needs to tell the contestants they can stop anytime on Switcheroo, unless they get zero or one right.

He should tell them they can stop after the first turn no matter how many they have right. Of course, if the contestant has none right, they'll obviously want to change some blocks around. It should always be up to the contestant whether or not to take the second turn, and that should be explicitly stated every time the game is played, not hinted at.

I liked Matthew. He seemed genuinely nice and a bit quirky. Apparently he likes Drew a lot; he even made Drew a hot dog at the end of the show.

Drew's priceisright.com plug was horrible today. What was with all the mumbling and the "uhhs"?

Very nice to hear one of the older cues for the fifth item up for bids (the outdoor gas fireplace). Can we hear more of them?  :)

Didn't see the 2nd Showcase at all, due to an EAS test.

-Switcheroo was difficult....oh well she did the best she could....until she got to the wheel.
-1 Right Price was nice....which was good.
-Freeze Frame seems more rarely won that That's Too Much. That saying something. YAY for the win.
-Danger Price wasn't bad. I don't blame her for her choice.
-I agree with Drew that Pick-A-Pair is easy....when setup like it was today. Congrats for the win.
-Yay. Any Number was won! That is all.

This show was so much better than yesterday. Thank goodness nice and normal (with a CUE WIN during the IUFBs to boot).

Who tries to stop the wheel? That was really bad. I mean even if you've NEVER watched the show. Who stops a spinning wheel with a flipper in any situation? Whether it be Price, Wheel of Fortune, a carnival or The Game of Life, you don't stop the wheel. I don't want to play Life with her....she cheats....jk.

Sometime during Season 35, didn't someone touch the wheel while it was slowing down, and it landed on the dollar?

Curious -- I haven't checked some of the other threads, but are we down to two models per show now? It's more evident now with George Gray appearing as a model with more and more prizes.

Switcheroo:  Better than nothing.  I thought for sure Angela had all of them right on the first try.
One Right Price:  Good job! :-)  Amber & Rachel holding the price tag together looked so cute!
Freeze Frame:  Wow, it was actually won for once! 8-O
Danger Price:  Bummer! :-(
Pick A Pair:  Nicely played! :-)
Any Number:  Nice car win! :-)
Showcase:  Another great bid!  There sure have been a lot of those lately.

Good show overall, IMHO.

Wasn't Freeze Frame second and 1 Right Price third?

I'm pretty sure they were.

Can't talk about show now, heading out. Will wait for later.

Hey, this one was pretty good! Not a season-best episode by any means, and Drew was still a little bit off, but it was nice to see some decent contestants and some winning today. In particular, it was nice to see Freeze Frame break a long winless drought and Any Number get back to its winning ways after a little slump. This show was better than any from the past week and a half, and it didn't need any guest stars to make it that way.

2-model days continue to be awkward, and I think George was only used in the 1st showcase because he was absolutely needed there to keep it from looking sparse. George doesn't work as a 3rd model, Mike. On the other hand, I thought the 1st showcase had a nice assortment of prizes for being a budget showcase.

Switcheroo was as difficult as I've ever seen it today. Even the best players was going to have trouble believing that NONE of those SPs were under $40. Adam really let up for the rest of the show after that though.

It amazes me that it took over 7000 episodes for someone to try to stop the wheel. And I hope 7000 more go by before it happens again.

Timings:
Switcheroo (5.5) - 4:26
Freeze Frame (4) - 3:16
One Right Price (3.5) - 3:19
Danger Price (4.5) - 3:38
Pick A Pair (4.5)- 3:55
Any Number (5) - 5:22
Total (27): 23:56

Switcheroo - Bummer
Freeze Frame - Nice win
1 right price - I thought the right price would go to the TV but nice win
Danger price - I knew it was the cookware
Pick a pair - Nice win
Any number - Nice for a car. The only time when they shouldn't stop on Roo is when they get 0 right even when they get 1 right they can stop if they think it's the car or maybe not.
