You know, I would be very, VERY OK with Larry just settling in as permanent host. Not even because of any sentiment against Drew, but I've been a HUGE fan of Larry's work for years - LOVED him on Wheel and Price in Australia - and would love to see him hosting the US version.

I don't mind Larry that much, either.

Here's a full episode I found on Youtube (the only reason I know who he is):
You can also find some record Mega Showcase wins (a concept I didn't really care for, the top two contestants bidding for the right to play for it in a game of "pin the exact price of the showcase" before trying to order the prizes by price) and a few other moments from the show uploaded by...someone.

How was he on Wheel?

Do you think he could our version of Wheel?

Larry was always my favorite foreign TPIR host. I'm looking forward to this.

I guess now we know what the doors look like, the same :P

...Drew, where the bleep did this idea come from?

As someone said over at the Invision boards, I'm surprised they didn't try this with Marco Antonio Regil, who is reasonably fluent and lives in LA.

Which brings an interesting point: I wonder if it would be possible to have a week featuring foreign hosts (Marco, Larry, Bruce, the host of the new Canadian one, and... someone else)

That wasn't done just for the Mega Showcase - that's always the way it's been done down under.

...and holy crap am I excited about this.

Yes, I know.  I've seen a clip from the first showcase (or first win at least) where the lady kept bidding outside the range, literally letting the guy do the work of narrowing down the price for her to hit it on the nose. XD

...S41 takeover?  I dunno, maybe just a 40th anniversary celebration.

Wheel of Fortune did it in 1991-92. Why not Price? That sounds like a good idea.

He said he got to play a game with a contestant. I am curious to find out which game it was.
