Some season-encompassing as well as regular comments from the S39 show with the best record (no straight L's)...

-Bee had a bad year at 1-5, even with no bailouts it would have been 2-4. It's a mix of tough SPs, bad luck and a couple of dumb guesses ($43 on the donut maker wasn't too good today).
-She started off Grocery poorly, but it actually worked out for once.
-At this point, when the 4th game is hard, a skunking is probably being set up (unless it's Moley). Otherwise, it's pretty easy, even on a crapshoot they set up the middle tendency.
-It was weird how she had 19499 at one point, there was either editing going on or the nuts were as confused as her thought process.
-I'm a little surprised Safey was won with -50, certainly no one in studio did the math for the obvious. It was the minimum $90 difference on just some accessories...
-I haven't seen 25k / double dollar missed by so little in a really long time.
-The Nickelodeon hotel for Disney World? Not everyone has kids... hope that's the last time we see that one.
-That DOB wasn't forced, and the car wasn't even set up to be lost... just weird. Certainly more DOBs this year than we should have had, perhaps it will decrease along with DSWs (the two have at least some correlation for sure).
-Thank god this is the last of Steve White. Hearing the audience excitement cut out on Bee's reveal so he could redo that copy was a bad reminder of him, and there's really no excuse to "finally finally". He was there for at least 3 of the top 10 shows this year (both 5/6 and 3X), but... good bye, sir.

And thanks to Obama, we end the season on a W5. Now for another 1/6 on the S40 premiere?

S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Too bad Trent had bad luck on the small prizes in Spelling Bee.  We could've had our 1st perfect show this season on the last day of it.  Has there ever been a season without any perfect shows?  What's the most that's happened in a season before?  Despite the good pricing game and big wheel outcomes, the show had a dissapointing end with a double overbid.  Hopefully next season we'll have at least a few perfect shows and fewer winless shows.

I believe either Season 37 or Season 38 had no perfect shows, with the other having only one perfect show.

Both had one perfect show. S37 is hard to remember as it came in a DOB lineup (and maybe with DOB setups).

I skimmed this on the DVR, and if it wasn't for Steve White and HIM SCREAMING INTO THE THE MIC TELLING EVERYONE THE SHOW IS ON AND TO COME ON DOWN AND OUR HOST IS DREW CAREY, this probably would have been rescheduled for much sooner in the summer, possibly extending the season a day.  Good show all around, good selection of games, and hey, five wins and a DOB is a great day any day of the week.
They can be close at the top, too.

A nice show with 5 for 6 wins too bad spelling bee couldn't be won other wise we'd have a perfect show. I didn't watch the showcase part because i had to go out to eat for lunch and what a shock that it was a double overbid! There's always season 40 for a perfect show.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Too bad about the DOB, but a 5 for 6 day with a bailout isn't bad at all.

One thing about Steve White...he really makes me appreciate George Gray.

Twice during today's program I wished the trip skins would come back.

Once during today's program I wished they would stop doing two-beauty days.

And yet, several times during today's program I wish they would do a lot more shows like these. Minus Steve and Drew, of course.  :P

Steve White = Burton Richardson Jr.

lol I was gonna mention that but you beat me to it.

You know I have to say, I kind of like the extra summer shows, be them leftovers from earlier or otherwise, it breaks up the monotony of the summer reruns. I wouldn't mind having them be a regular thing in future seasons.

Wow, this was a surprisingly good episode!  Decent contestants, lots of wins, and Drew wasn't even all that bad.  If he could host like this every day...well, it still wouldn't be great, but at least it'd be tolerable.

I think Trent came out of Spelling Bee pretty well.  He won $3,000 and passed up on a chance that wouldn't have worked to win a car that he didn't need!

Pick-a-Number was totally supposed to be lost with a pick of 6.

I thought for a minute that Janina was going to completely bungle Line em Up.  It almost looked like she was going to change two numbers on her second turn.

Incidentally, what an odd coincidence that both of the pre-empted shows had Line em Up.

...Oh, and Steve White still sucks donkey balls.

Yeah I noticed that. I don't know that Drew would have let her do it though if she actually tried, kinda surprised he didn't say anything when it appeared she was gonna.
