Contestents and Crew Sing's Mamma Mia
« on: April 06, 2012, 05:05:43 PM »
This video is so funny.  It's the contestents and crew singing Mamma Mia. The best part is George singing.
That wasn't a showcase, that was an infomercial.

No, it's forced and I feel sorry for the prospective contestants forced to do it. :(
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Why do you think that?
I thought it was more like somebody asked contestants who wanted to do this, even if they weren't good singers or didn't know the words.

It is not forced. Just because you don't like it or have never heard of it, doesn't mean everyone else has to dislike it and sing along just because they're being made to do it. You see genuine happiness in all of their eyes.

“For the premiere of season 30, CBS wanted to do a special primetime show. However, they asked that we also add a gimmick or a twist to make it truly special. I came up with the suggestion of taking the show on the road for the first time in its history." - Roger Dobkowitz

Embedded (why is YouTube using those long addresses?):

If this were something just done randomly for the sake of fun, I would not have a problem -- but it is actually a promo for a Mamma Mia-related Showcase. (Also, notice how neither Drew or Mike are involved.)
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

I'm mad they hold guns to contestants' heads. :(
