You can clearly hear Joseph telling Grant , I'm gonna kill you , after he got 1-upped on the 1st IUFB. I knew he was joking , but still.

I'll make this short and sweet:

Aside from a only solid win from Bargain Game, the rest of today..............Well, I guess these two said it best:

Unless we get a miracle tomorrow and the Firefighters special turned out to be good, I'm not really optimistic about it.

Unless we get a miracle tomorrow and the Firefighters special turned out to be good, I'm not totally optimistic.

I'm just curious. Did you actually watch today's episode? I get the sense you just pulled this off the recap, because aside from the painful losses in Cover and Shell, it was a pretty enjoyable show.

One Wrong Price: Too bad. I never expected such a cheap pool table.
Any Number: I had a feeling the other 2 was in the price of the SUV.
Pick a Pair: Seems a little tricky. Then again, it's just me.
Bargain Game: Piece of cake. I knew that TV was expensive.
Shell Game: Glad to see it again. Too bad just like the last playing, that one mistake not only cost him a shot at the cash bonus, but the game, as well. But at least Drew didn't say a word about the bonus this time, anyway.
Cover-Up: Right down to the wire! That was so close!

Overall, aside from that Cover-Up playing, Bargain Game, and Lorraine's miraculously perfect One Bid, lackluster show. I give it 2.5/10.

I actually did saw the show today...........I didn't have the intention to disrespect you or anyone else. I guess I was way too quick to judge and all.

In all honesty, I want to apologize, OK? I guess I should rephrase that a lot more: I should mean that gameplay-wise, it was bad..........But, in some way, entertaining. Lorraine was a great contestant with energy, despite her half-win on A# and Grant was a hoot as played Bargain Game. Again, I'm sorry and let's just leave it at that.

Was today secretly a FPG show?  Pick-a-Pair third, Shell Game fifth, and a neat lineup overall made this one fun.

Even without the lineup, we had a hell of a show today.  Great contestants (Any Number woman), some great tension (the painful Shell Game loss, the 50/50 split on Cover Up), Drew's hosting really being on point recently, the reveal of the car in Showcase #1, and the little moments make this one that you don't want to skip at all.

Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

Why is everyone so down on this show? This was by far the best show of the week and possibly this month. Don't keep letting W/L drag you down into a low grading on an episode.

I'm about done with Cover. We might as well skip playing it and call it a loss if it's going to be played like that, seriously.

I was disappointed PaP was set up that hard. Yikes.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Drew actually did really well hosting Shell Game today.  That usually seems to be a game he doesn't do well with, so it was really nice to see him so spot-on with it today, and really getting into the game!  Made up for seeing it lost.

Speaking of Shell Game, anyone notice the chips were stacked on the opposite side of the table for some reason?

Cover Up was great, too, even if it was lost, just the way the game came down, and Drew himself throughout the playing.  Really, Drew did good most of the show.

There was one kinda' awkward moment, though, in the first showcase showdown, where Drew wasn't sure whether the wheel would stop on 20, or flip over to 40... except it didn't matter, since Lorraine was going to win either way.

I oddly love seeing Pick a Pair losses :oldlol:!  It didn't really seem that bad a setup, either.  Maybe hard by Pick a Pair standards, but otherwise winnable.

The only thing he left out was mentioning the cash bonus, but I'm guessing that James missed on the tea set, there was no need for Drew to point that out. Maybe he should point it out before the contestant starts playing the game.

If the contestant misses any of the first three prizes, as happened today, Drew should leave that out.  Putting far too much emphasis on the bonus is one of the many issues I've had with Drew's hosting of Shell Game in the past.  Heck, Drew's made a few wins feel like losses because of the way he'd hype that bonus sometimes.

Decent show, as others have said. This one was filled with lots of tough luck though, from the contestant having the right answer before deciding to nutpoll in Cover to ANOTHER 3 out of 4 Shell loss (and this time the "hard" SP wasn't even that hard). Still, this was an enjoyable watch thanks to good contestants, dramatic moments and Drew making the most of all of it. Also nice to see a lineup different from the usual MO for the season. And I kinda enjoy Pick A Pair being hard :)

Oh yeah, loved that car reveal in SC1 too - always good to mix it up once in awhile.

Timings:
One Wrong Price (3.5) - 3:26
Any Number (5) - 5:06
Pick A Pair (4.5) - 4:39
Bargain Game (3.5) - 3:13
Shell Game (6) - 5:15
Cover Up (5) - 4:48
Total (27): 26:27

I turned on the TV (for once!) during IUFB4, and noticed that Grant seemed pretty young. When he got up on stage and said he was a high school senior, I wasn't surprised, but holy crap did it make me feel old.

Looking at the recap... how often do you see three non-matching prices picked in Pick-a-Pair? Wow.

Also, how often do you see a SCSD where the first two contestants go over, and then the third wins with the lowest amount possible? I know the former happens more than the latter, but still, it was unique.
