Flip Flop - Easy win again.
Safe Crackers - Should've been won.
Grand Game - Loss for words honestly.

Not as good as yesterday, but I did enjoy it:

THE BAD NEWS:

Safe Crackers: I really thought that the price was $670.

Grand Game: Angela fall victim to the peanut butter ($6.79? Jeez.....).

OWP: I would've lost on that as well. Plus, it really looked sad that the computer didn't get modeled IMHO.

L7: That was a pretty cruel setup with the other 2 as the last number.........At least Freda won  :frbs:

THE GOOD NEWS:

5PT: I was a little afraid that Jennifer was gonna wipe out on it.........But she did got the last two SPs right and won the Fiat.

Flop-Flop: Good thing Jade "flipped" instead of "flopped".

BOTTOM LINE:

Some tricky setups, but it was still entertaining. I wish the PB didn't have to be so damn expensive, though.

 Now onto........(shudders)........Plinko Day.

Too bad what started off as a good day win-wise was cut short by some pretty rotten setups, especially for Safe Crackers and Lucky $even. Plus, the dreaded peanut butter fake-out rears its ugly head during Grand Game. Maybe it was just me, but the $850 price tag for the home gym in One Wrong Price looked too obvious, so, I personally picked the refrigerator as having the wrong price and wouldn't have fared any better than the contestant.

Everyone points to Drew's "Oh, mighty sound effects lady computer" schtick in One Away as his greatest contribution to the pricing games, but, for my money, I generally get a decent chuckle out of his guesses as to what the small prizes in Five Price Tags are. It's a nice running joke and one that's often overlooked. This was a solid win today, too, as was Flip Flop. And speaking of Five Price Tags, that was kind of funny that the WikiReader was clearly displaying the Wiki article on The Price is Right.

I liked the sweeping pan of the prizes in One Wrong Price; that's a stronger reveal than just a stationary shot of all three prizes. However, I was a little disappointed to see some of the extraneous shots of the audience during the showcases, which had been edited out of the first two shows this week, were still in place today. I've just never been a fan of these shots and I wouldn't mind seeing them go away as the season progresses.

Was it just me, or did the audience seem a little quiet at the beginning of the show?

Overall, an average outing today... I wonder what games will be played tomorrow...?

Wow, I think we got lucky that today wasn't a skunk.  The only games that was setup with any kindness was 5PT and OWP.

Good win on 5PT & an easy victory on F-F.

Sorry Freda didn't win the L7 car, but at least she became the first dollar spinner of S42 & won the top Showcase. In all four Showcase Rounds, the one w/ the car was worth less than the other.

A promising start with a great 5PT win and a Flip Flop win... turns into a meh show.

Grandy was plain mean.  The charcoal had me fooled.  As usual, L7 was terrible.

See you tomorrow for Stinko day!

Another pretty good show, IMO. Like others have said, not as good as yesterday, but yesterday's was really hard to top.

5 Price Tags seemed to be totally set up for a win, with the four wrong prices in ascending order at the top and the correct one as an outlier on the bottom. It immediately stuck out to me. It's also the first playing in almost a year in which all the prices ended in -0 or -5, which was a practice Roger always used. There was only one such playing last season. The first two games being won is always a fantastic way to start out the hour.

Totally agree about Drew's schtick during 5PT as well. It's always nice to hear him get a chuckle out of George.

Then came Safe Crackers. Yet another seemingly nasty 670/760 setup, but if the contestant had paid attention to the prize package value, it was a total gimme if you're any good at math. With a package price of $7,755 I knew instantly it was $760 with a $6995 price for the hot tub. It always pays to listen!

One Wrong Price seemed pretty darn easy to me, too. Maybe I was just particularly on my toes today, but it seemed like a lot of the losses today cannot be attributed to the staff... with the exception of the always-difficult Lucky $even.

Today's show started out good but then petered off. That was a nasty L7 in a different way than that game is normally nasty; repeated numbers in the last 3 digits is not something I was expecting at all.

Still, it was nice to see a good 5PT playing, especially with a contestant that was not afraid to say True for the SPs.

I totally had that car in Lucky $even won this morning in chat. $18,492 was my guess, which left me with $2 remaining at the end! :P

Pardon my language, but I do believe we all need to calm the f*** down.

Weird that we saw both of the games that start on the right side of Door #2 AND both of the games that don't have name signs.

They REALLY wanted One Wrong Price won today. Further proof that you don't have to set up for a loss to get a loss. Safe Crackers, on the other hand, was not going to be won, but if you knew that spas often end in -95, you could have gotten the -60 from the prize package ending in -55.

I really liked Drew's sign-off today. It didn't feel like it was read off a cue card, and it was really just very nice—almost Bill Cullen-like. The only Drew sign-off I can remember that competes with it is from the final show of his first season.
