OBIT - Marcia Wallace
« on: October 26, 2013, 12:38:35 PM »
It's breaking news to many, but no-surprise to her and her family.  Still, very saddening.

Marcia Wallace 1942-2013

Being a fan of the Bob Newhart show, Match Game, and the Simpsons, it's definitely one of the more painful celebrity passings. Just one week exactly away from her birthday too.  RIP, Marcia

RIP Marcia Wallace.  :-(
A Big Rich Fields Drew Carey And Jeff Davis Fan For Ever From Kirsten

Rich Fields Thanks Kirsten. I pick out and supply all of my own clothing. That light gray suit is hard to pair with shirts and ties... but I think the lavender shirt and purple patterned tie pulled it all together.

My Favorite Announcers On The Price Is Right Are Johnny Olson Rod Roddy Rich Fields Jeff Davis.

I Met And Took Two Pictures With Jeff Davis On May 24, 2012 He Is So Nice And Kind In Person.

Rich Fields said this about Drew Carey will always be the first to defend Drew (Carey). He's one of the most genuine, down to earth people in Hollywood that I've ever met. He was the first to come to me and tell me that the show was going in a different direction. He assured me it was not his decision to let me go and I believe him. No one else was open and honest about it, but Drew was. We've continued working together on different projects and we stay in regular touch. We'll be good friends well into the future.

I learned the name Marcia Wallace from seeing the credits for The Simpsons as a child and didn't learn until my late teens who she actually was when I first saw her on Match Game and Password.  Of all the celebrity deaths I've learned about from this site, this one definitely has one of the biggest impacts on me.  We'll miss you, Marcia.  Keep 'em laughing up there.

The actual retail price is...

She was a fantastic panelist on several game shows-The incarnations of Match Game  various incarnations of Password, and Body Language, to name a few.  She had a great sense of humor with her answers and played the games well.  She will be missed.

Whoa, that's shocking news to me. She was a great panelist (particularly on Match Game) and a great voice actress. There will be only one Edna Krabappel. Rest in Peace, Marcia.

Not only I remember Marcia as the voice of Edna Krabappel on The Simpsons, but I also  remember that she did a recurring role  on Full House. It's a shame to hear about that.

No one. Al Jean has said that they will retire the character in her memory.

No one. Al Jean has said that they will retire the character in her memory.

Out of respect, that's the right thing to do. They did the same to Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure after Phil Hartman's unfortunate death.

Best way to do it. The Simpsons were going to kill another character as is.
