« on: November 14, 2013, 08:49:56 PM »
The new addition coming to GSN on December 2nd is.....

Shop Til' You Drop

And this will be the much much better Pat Finn version. Also being added is more Syndicated Sale of the Century episodes and Blockbusters will be returning to the schedule as well. Here's some more info.

That's great news.  Something exciting and new to give some of these Family Feud reruns a break.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

This is awesome. I grew up loving Shop Til You Drop, so I'm glad to see it back on TV. Plus, seeing Blockbusters will be great, also.

I'm betting they start from the very beginning.

They've got Drop, now gotta get Supermarket Sweep to run alongside it. :)

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Judging from the episode numbers, they are starting from the VERY first episode on Lifetime.

Which means we'll get to see and hear a very young Mark L. Walberg.

Unfortunately we won't.  According to GSN's official press release about the STYD Acquisition, it mentions Dee Bradley Baker as the co host.  Meaning at the very earliest, the episodes they will be airing are from 1997.  But since the episode number is 001, it's probably the premiere episode of the PAX (now ION) version from from 2000.

Well, that just got me a little less excited about STYD.  But it could be worse, I suppose.  Considering GSN's track record, I'm surprised they're not airing the J.D. Roberto episodes.

Me too, but if it means less Family Feud and something new, I will watch and support it.  Who knows, maybe they'll do what they did with $ale.  Get even older episodes if it does well enough.
