CSS Results for 12/30/2013 (Game 61)
« on: December 30, 2013, 09:24:46 PM »
Today was the Best of 2013 special, a fitting tribute to a lot of the special moments over the past calendar year. Additionally, after eight years of standing up strong, Vickiann's daytime winnings record finally fell. Since the previously-spoiled daytime winnings record was broken before the showcases, CSS goes on as normal. Comparatively, these showcases were...not so expensive, but rather normal...at least, Season 42 normal.

BRB_TheFireball picks up the win today with a very stellar set of bids, and takes cash on the Dodge Dart showcase. jacaya gets the DSW on the Volkswagen, but blows it with a near-WSD on the Dart, allowing Punchboard91 to come in and take the cash for the VW instead.

john cage bubblegum grabs up the Plinko doubler today. Speaking of Plinko, if that center slot had been hit just once, I'd have considered that good enough for a win...which would thus have resulted in double points for a perfect show. Woulda coulda shoulda, I guess.

Adam, I dunno what you've been drinking, but I strongly suggest you seek help. And by "seek help", I mean "give me some".

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Darn it. I was beaten by a mere $20 from claiming my Volkswagen.  :-x

I can't blame Adam for betting on super-sexy trips.  Like I told cu when I submitted my bids, I questioned whether the showcases could actually be this cheap, especially after the sexy trip to Aruba and the super-sexy Audi earlier in the show.

I'll go out on a limb and say his bids set the CSS all-time record for biggest :wotc: .
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

I actually don't think so - I recall bigger ones by some grace.

I do know that themountainclimber almost bid $1,000,000 on each showcase one day....but decided to go with $1

There was also that Braber bid of $105,000 on a small trailer.

Darn, could have easily gone $28,521. Oh well, the showcase could have ended up being $28,464, and I would have been more upset.

Well... I was in the vicinity for the Aussie/Dart showcase... just a touch over. $1000 less on my bid, and it'd be Oh Happy Day for me again with an 8th DSW. :(
