Since the "Best of 2013" show was aired yesterday, I was expecting a repeat episode today. Looks like it wasn't, but there was no mention of New Year's Eve. Very unusual these days; I would expect Mike and the powers that be at Price to take advantage of any special occasion/day/holiday.

So, no NYE special episode, but we did get not one but two special guests. Meh.

All six pricing games were won though, with suspenseful, down to the wire wins in Five Price Tags, Bullseye, and Line Em Up. Very nice.

(Note to producers: I say too much Line Em Up so far this season, and not enough 10 Chances, for one. :) )

Hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year. :)

OMG they actually did it... managed a true perfect show... not just a 5-out-of-6-plus-Plinko, or 5-out-of-6-plus-bailout, but an actual perfect show... I believe that brings the count to 81, right?

I thought it was mentioned somewhere that the Best of was supposed to be shown today, but got moved to yesterday - that might explain the lack of any New Years Eve mentions today (since this show wasn't planned for 12/31)?

And a perfect show to follow up yesterday's record and dcPS (Darn Close to Perfect Show).

Happy New Years!

Hmmm... if that's the case, now I'm wondering why the Best of show was moved. Not a big deal I suppose; just curious. Perhaps for a better rating, hopefully?

Wow....

Just wow...

They actually got a Perfect Show on New Year's Eve, and the Biggest Winner in Daytime History yesterday!

2013 is THE year, and I don't know on how they are going to top that in 2014.

To me, 2013 was one of the BEST YEARS EVER!

Oh my goodness. This show was better then yesterday's! My word!

Drew was excellent! Magnificent! He built on the perfect show! He made the audience aware of what was going on. I don't know if he was surfing YouTube and happened across a video of Bob hosting a perfect show, or if he came up with this on his own, but great job!

This was an FPG lineup. They played every game at Door 2, and just when you think they're going to pull out Rent to close, they throw in Bullseye.

Speaking of Bullseye, that was the most exciting, most tense Bullseye in possible history. With so much riding on it, for it to come down to the hidden bullseye was amazing. The chance gods were shining down today.

I've got much more to say, but I'll have to post tomorrow when I get back in front of a computer (going to work now and then straight to a party).

This was the best show in years. Years. Better than the last perfect show in 2010.

Wow, what a crazy week this has been. And they had me fooled - I was expecting a completely average, boring show today because they didn't do any special promotion for this one. But thanks to the guests for keeping this one out of June. There weren't any super difficult games today, but only Swap and Bullseye were truly easy. The rest were left in the middle and we managed to come out on the right end 4 times. In particular, they eased up a little bit on 5PT without easing up quite all the way, and it resulted in a nice 3 pick win. Great to see this can still happen. The setups have been getting a little better on the whole this season, so I knew we'd get there eventually. We started this season off in a huge rut but now the winning % is getting back to even above last season's.

Oh, and I would like to personally thank Drew for beginning to mention it after 3 games today just like Bob would have done. It makes for good transitions to break, and it makes the show that much more exciting to viewers! This is what we tune in for, not guestcases. Speaking of which, still tired of those...

The lineup was creative today too with a car 4th but no cash 6th, possibly for the Friday show. More of this please. And that Bullseye segment was just crazy. Guests, GPs getting knocked over, and it all coming down to the hidden bullseye. This is definitely one I will watch again.

5PT: I thought missing the vacuum sealer would come back to haunt her, but it didn't!

SBS: Crapshoot in my book.

SM: Easy.

SCSD #1: Another three-way spin-off!

LeU: 0 right on the first try works yet again!

1RP: Easy, because Honda motorcycles usually end in -99.

Bullseye: Boy, was that an intense playing- the clam chowder wasn't picked until the last try, there wasn't an overbid & it had the HB for a TRUE PERFECT SHOW!!!!!

Showcases: I had a feeling the boat Showcase might be worth more than the car one.

After this year's 12/26 episode aired, I had a feeling today's ep. might be the real intended Boxing Day ep. & boy was it ever!!!

My two cents:

Five Price Tags: What an intense finish! She deserves that Jeep!
Side by Side: I had a feeling that trip was pricey. And I'm glad she won it.
Swap Meet: Good win!
Line 'em Up: The 4th number was tricky to me, but at least she won the Cruze!
One Right Price: Another good win! And kudos to Robert for winning his Showcase, including that 4-door Fiat!
Bullseye: The Hidden Bullseye gives us our first (legit) perfect show in almost 4 years!

What a way to end 2013!

Only two words comes to mind when it came to today:

THE BAD NEWS:

None. None at all.  :-D

THE GOOD NEWS:

5PT: Good thing Pamela picked the second cheapest price!

Side-by-Side: That was pretty tricky, but it was a good thing that Angela picked $9283.

Swap Meet: Easy as pie win from Everett!

Line 'Em Up: Great comeback by Kenisha!

ORP: Good job by Robert picking the TVs and a good SC bid!

Bullseye: That was really a nail-biter.............but finally: PERFECTION!!!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Two good shows in one week.............This is crazy! But as the current Pop-Tarts slogan says: "Crazy Good!" And I did like Chrissy Teigen; she really did a good job as guest. I say, Mike should keep her around. And Drew totally did a awesome job hosting! With the first solid perfect show in 4 years, this is the way to end 2013...........I hope 2014 will have some good shows as well.

Today's and yesterday's episodes were truly the best two episodes of 2013. No less than 11 pricing games were won within the last 48 hours. Let us see more shows like these as our New Year's resolution.

I was really surprised that Mike Hydeck appeared to present the trip in Bullseye. Was there any word that he would make a virtual appearance today?

Only two words comes to mind when it came to today:

Looks like those two words are...."Video Unavailable".
