So here's a thought. Before, when the show had a wheelchair bound contestant who played a turntable game, they had a ramp that they'd bring up to the turntable and ride the contestant up there. I don't think they've had a handicap contestant since they introduced the new turntable, but I'd guess they don't have one (if they needed to build one because the turntable has different specs than the old one).

That's all a roundabout way of asking why didn't they use the ramp to get her on the stage? It wouldn't even have to appear on the show. Use it to get her up there, remove it, film the showcases; and if she wins, stop tape, get her off the stage, and tape her celebrating with her prizes. Simple edit. Odd.

About the show: I see we get our first car to drastically change price between years with the Chrysler 200.

I was just about to post the exact same thing. There had to have been a stop down between the Showcase Showdown and the Showcases while the staff figured out the best way to proceed. Unless the ramp was stored away and hard to access, and/or a wheelchair wasn't readily available, it seems like this would have been the most logical solution.
Pardon my language, but I do believe we all need to calm the f*** down.

Wouldn't it be better to keep her from moving any more than she absolutely has to, though? With wheelchair-bound contestants someone can push them, but even if there was a ramp, Judy would still have to go up it. Better to not risk her getting injured further and let her stay in the general stage area.

I am 99% sure they have a ramp and that it would have worked. I am 0% sure why they didn't use it. The only thing I can think of is that it was her personal preference to not walk up a ramp and over there and she would rather just stand still where she was until the show was over.

ISTR seeing the old one in action with the current turntable setup, but before the floor and stairs were redone. I also seem to remember it still having the old purple/red/orange paint job matching the turntable from over a decade ago.

I find it hard to believe there isn't a wheelchair anywhere on the premises of Television City. The segment still worked surprisingly well with the contestants' bids showing up in the shot.

I would imagine they were trying to move Judy as little as possible...and if she was in as much pain as her transition from crutches to a chair would seem to indicate, that was probably a good idea.
