I have to say, these new cue remixes like the one in Shopping Spree today are outstanding.

5PT: A little change to the main gameboard as there are white outlines around each of the tags.

F-F: I knew those FLYScooters were at least $7K.

SS: It was a toss-up between the table & the accessories, because they can vary in price, but it was won on the accessories (chosen more often than not recently).

Grand: Tough playing today thanks to that hot sauce (which didn't matter in that playing).

S?: I would've switched & lost.

PaN: This is won for a car again!

Showcases: Gina's bid only covered the Sonic.

Good show today.

The lineup was quite short, and we had no reason for it...

5.0 Grand Game
3.5 Switch?
3.5 Pick-a-Number

For what it is worth Pick-a-Number could have been a sub-in for another car game (If I had to guess Pocket Change possibly? 145679 Would be a good setup for that game....) for some reason or another. Especially since it was loaded with options.

“For the premiere of season 30, CBS wanted to do a special primetime show. However, they asked that we also add a gimmick or a twist to make it truly special. I came up with the suggestion of taking the show on the road for the first time in its history." - Roger Dobkowitz

Agreed.  You put PC last, and you have a really solid lineup.  Short lineup and Flip-Flop nastiness aside, 3/6 with a car win makes a pretty fine show in my book.

5 price tags . This is 1 of my favorite games and I today's SPs were interesting. I don't know if they were aiming for a food theme with the SPs but it felt like it. I would have needed 3 price tags to win as I would have gone 22,21,20. Too bad to start the show with a loss.

Flip Flop: I don't know if I would have won because whether I would kept the 28 part or flopped it to 82. However today's contestant was an idiot not to get the 74 part right.

Shopping Spree: Another favorite game of mine. That television and fridge were very nice prizes and it was great to see this won. I would have definitely won this myself.

Grand Game: Another favorite game of mine and my favorite cash game. I would definitely have lost today and perhaps even wiped out because of the hot sauce.

Switch: Not my favorite game but the trips were nice prizes and I'm glad they were won.

Pick a Number: While normally 1 of my least favorite games I actually enjoy Pick a Number when it is played for a car. I would have this as I knew this was a cheaper car.

Showcases: The showcase that was not won was the better showcase.

Bad start but pretty good after the 1st commercial break with a 3 out of finish.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

Is it just me or are the lineups getting shorter and shorter this week?

THE BAD NEWS:

5PT: Too bad Margie lost on it.............but at least the redesign looked pretty cool.

Flip Flop: Honestly, there was no excuse for that loss...........Donald should've known that he was playing for two motorscooters, not one. He should've at least flipped the 47.

Grand Game: After seeing that $3.50 target price, I knew Brian wasn't gonna win that, unfortunately.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Shopping Spree: That was a easy setup and win for Krystle........Good thing she avoided the hockey table. Nice SC win!

Switch?: Same thing goes for Gina!

Pick A Number: Wouldn't be the first time a car was the main prize of this game, especially a Spark.............Sure it was a bit lazy to do that, though. Nevertheless, nice to know that Ashley won it.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

The lineup was a little shorter than yesterday, but there some good wins today............Nice job redesigning Tags.

Whether it was planned or not, I don't mind a shorter lineup sometimes. There weren't really any ugly cuts today, save for during the showcase ARP reveal (which was definitely for a reason other than timing), and it even leaves a little bit of breathing room for talking, like when Drew gave a shout-out to Adam the eyebrow model.

How about that Pick-a-Number? A win always makes a dull game better, but MAN did Drew host that segment well.

There's an interesting idea.  Pick-a-Number is one of those few games that does not use electronics; why can't they shuffle that around like they do with Double Prices?

Kinda rough to have the same make / model car in the 6th pricing game followed immediately by the first showcase. And even if you've never seen price, Gina has seen that car is 15000, has seen trips are all 5000+ (and those were close trips!!) and maybe she doesn't know that calling plans add up.

But still, she had zero reason to bid below 21000 (and a smart price watcher wouldn't bid below 25)

Grand Game was a brutal set up. Four prizes that I was unsure on

Major props to Drew.  I'm way behind on watching (I've only seen 6581K and 6582K so far this week), but so far, he's been unusually good, and he even managed to make Pick-a-Number for a car feel special.  I wish we could see more of him like this.

I like the new paint job in Five Price Tags.  It's probably the first time those props have been updated since the '75 set change!

Gotta play dumb here...besides the new price tags, I really didn't detect anything re-painted.  What am I missing?
