I don't watch every single day, but I did watch this one.  Drew was really very good throughout the entire show.  The camera angle going into the second showcase showdown, with the camera behind the back of the wheel, and then shooting over the top of it towards the audience was quite good.  Overall the show was very enjoyable.

Grand Game: I loved how Monica silenced the audience when she picked the cat food.  She was right!!!  I too picked the cat food.  This was a weird setup with three of the products in the $4 range.  Whoa.  I'm glad she won this.

In Line Em Up, I thought that was great.  Stefanie listened to her fiance and ignores the audience.  Sometimes listening to one of your peeps pays off.  I also thought 18490 too.

Awww, bummer.  :-( Looks like Bonus Game has gone the way of Hi-Lo in that it is officially being revealed after the prize is shown.
Not so fast. Since at least Season 39, Bonus Game's reveal has been very inconsistent. There's been stretches where the original reveal is used, and there have been stretches where the standard reveal is used. I wouldn't be surprised to see the original reveal come back at some point this season.

Great show indeed. I love 5/5 shows because it puts so much pressure and tension on the 6th game. It makes the show so exciting and that's the way it was today. I thought she had lost at one point, then thought she had it won. It may have been a loss, but a great segment to end the show. And it was great that she ended up winning her showcase since she was so close to winning her game.

Speaking of the showcases...yikes. I thought Big Money Week and Dream Car Week were insured...guess not? Or maybe they were and they're still reeling from the Gas Money win. Either way...yikes.

Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted, besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?

But this season has a new director -- one who knows that even when Bonus Game comes around on the turntable early, Drew doesn't always acknowledge it (and never before interviewing the contestant, making the reveal awkward). And considering that this season, we've seen Bonus Game spin around after the prize plug, I'd predict the old reveal is done for.

I thought Big Money Week and Dream Car Week were insured...guess not?

No sane insurance company is going to put up the money for Hole in One for an $80,000 car.

This show was taped over a month before the Gas Money win, and even Monday-Thursday last week were, as that was one of the last tapings of 2013. I shudder to think what will happen when we reach that point...

There's a lot of good things to say about this episode, but since I still have to watch today's show and make my FPG picks, I'll have to settle for pointing out how fantastic it was and how heartbreakingly painful the end of That's Too Much! was.

...Actually, on top of that, I'll also pick one nit:  When Line em Up is won on the first turn, the win should be revealed by lighting up the board, not by flipping over the price tag.  I say this because they only shoot the price tag at this point in the game if the contestant has won, a procedure which, if followed on every playing, gives away the outcome of the first turn every single time.  It's been a long time since the game had a win on the first turn, and I was hoping that in the interim, they might have forgotten about this illogical decision...but unfortunately, it appears they haven't.

I hope the showcase winner enjoys my home country, and in particular her stay in Cairns.
