Today felt like a pretty good show to me, despite the fact that only 2 games were won.

Cover Up was interesting because it was played just like it was on 10/3/1996 (which is actually one of my favorite episodes from TPIR). Three digits right the 1st try, the last digit right the 2nd, and the fourth digit being lost. The gag wasn't as funny as the previous ones, as today's looked like a storyline, rather than five things in common.

Master Key is back! I was anticipating a wipeout, but thankfully that didn't happen. Instead, the player (unfortunately) won a pair of HDTVs. At least she didn't pick the dud.

That's the best playing of Bonkers I can remember since June 16, 2011, from when the player was playing for a trip to Singapore. There have been a few perfect playings since, but I will never forget the 6/16/11 playing (the entire episode goes in my memory book as well, as does that horrible Cliff Hangers contestant).

Other than that, this was at least a pretty decent show.

Good to see Master Key back..............but I think Mike should just bring back the original presentation. I really got confused into thinking that Clock Game was in this lineup............And I'm sure that I'm not the only one.

CU was easy, when it comes to the 1 being the missing number. I'm fed up with this gimmick of replacing the wrong numbers with something else. As I said before, unless they use the models' faces (since there are 5 models in the show), it's obvious that they are running out of ideas.

DP and Bonkers were the highlights of today.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

A pretty below average way to end the week and month............but at least one of the SCs weren't that cheap.

Someone with more time on their hands than me can answer this:  Is that the fastest Bonkers has been played?

I'm inclined to say "no"; I remember some YouTube compilation showcasing a fast Bonkers win from the Barker-era.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

I really like the sirens on Danger Price!  I wish they would sound off for a win.... Master Key was a nice surprise & I think its cool they kept the car on the pedestal staging that is unique to the game.  I thought Double Cross was hard but it was refreshing to see it....
I hated the Cover Up gag...the first time I thought it was offensive...

Well, I hated a good amount of these gags..........Even though, some of them are OK. However, I find it pointless to do it anyway just because Drew is apathetic towards the wrong numbers.

Show recovered nicely after a pretty mean and rotten opening segment.  I'm surprised we managed 2/6 today, as  Bonkers was a hard setup, and Danger Price was tricky thanks to the shoes.  I'm honestly surprised Double Cross was lost, it seemed like a pretty easy setup to me.

And thanks to today's lineup, I have a new pet peeve for this show:  Two turntable games in the opening segment!

Cover Up: Bummer of a way to start. Ford Focus is a good model.

Coming or Going: If I were a contestant I would go with my own instincts instead of polling the peanut gallery or any member thereof. Today's contestant screwed herself by polling the audience.

Danger Price: 1 of my favorite games and a great win. The computer and the chair/desk were nice prizes.

Master Key: Too bad the Yaris wasn't won. TVs were a pretty good thing to be won though.

Bonkers: Indisputably the highlight of today's show. Really exciting quick win.

Double Cross: I would have lost in the exact same way  Bummer to end the week with a loss.

Showcases: In spite of being cheaper the showcase that was NOT won was the better showcase. Cars>>>>>>>>>>>>>boats any day of the week.

2 for 6 with no cars won means today's show wasn't too good. The Bonkers segment was something to savor though.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

Wow!! I hadnt seen Master Key in a long time I guess. I love the Clock Game-ish reveal (silly me actually thinking Clock Game with the 1st two prizes), and I really love the framing and blocking (whatever the terms are for it) of the Lock Stand with their prizes presented by them, the 'walk to the Lock Stand', and how the main turntable game was shot on the turntable as well.

How long has the show been shooting Master Key like this, I love it. (Admittedly I probably have not seen a Key playing in probably about a year or so)

Also, weird seeing Bonkers and Double Cross back to back, right?

Really?  Wow.  I don't think I could disagree more strongly with this statement.  They took the game's awesome reveal (which, granted, had been somewhat de-awesome-ified by taking away The Big Banana -- but if you're geeky enough to care, you're also geeky enough to have The Big Banana on your computer, so that's easily remedied) and replaced it with a clone of what was already a stupid replacement for Clock Game's reveal, and then they leave the first two prizes sitting out by the game where it really doesn't look like there should be anything.  I'm still baffled as to why anyone thought that was a good idea.

Did anyone else notice the reshoot of the "Cover Up" reveal during the bumper to the first "Showcase Showdown"?

It appeared to be a jib cam shot from a little beyond the stage near George's podium. Drew was in the foreground chatting up and shaking hands with a member of the audience, while the reshoot took place on the turntable in the background. I had to run the DVR back a few times to be sure that's what I saw.
