Well, we recall Canadian Millionaire many a year ago shot the lights out rating wise, at the height of its American popularity.

I'll predict another of these five episode runs in May. Another local sports department will get sacrificed, but such is life.

(I still have my theory that Global Ontario lost their sports department for the sole reason of Canadian Howie hour. Ontarians amongst us can discuss accordingly)

Question (and spoiler):  Shall there be a "name" for those who open the $1 million for their first selection?  Dond Canada had one tonight.

No. That should only be reserved for when somebody wins a big amount of money, including the million, should it happen.

Yes. "Unlucky". That's sufficient.

Fortunately, keeping the Power Block intact offsets that every time.

Believe me, the Rogers promo everywhere is starting to irritate me.

If you watch a Blue Jay game at the Rogers Centre, product-placement is plastered EVERYWHERE.

Methinks if there's a problem, submit a complaint to the CRTC.

But hey! They got good Internet Service!

As for DoND Canada, I like it so far.  Thursday we may be in for a nail biter.

I have one question (and spoiler for the Canadian show):  In the U.S. version, did the banker ever offer a six figure amount for his second offer?  The Canadian banker did tonight.

Actually, a 6-digit second offer has happened at least once on the U.S. version, albeit in games where the top prize was raised.  When the game was played for $3,000,000 during the season premiere week in September, the banker's second offer was $105,000.

But if we're just talking about regular games for $1,000,000, then I don't recall it happening on any of those in the U.S. version. :P
Yes, I'm still around. :P

The Canadian Banker had offered:

1st offer:  $45,000 (38,689.71 US)
2nd offer:  $111,000 (95,434.62 US)

A difference of:  $66,000 (56,744.91 US)

It was Episode 4 on Deal or No Deal Canada, tonight, and those of you in the States, I hope you can find that episode on YouTube or something, because it was incredible.

And without spoiling anything ... I would've said "No Deal" ...

Yes, hands down, this person is the best deal or no deal player ever.  The player will appear on live television tomorrow on "This Morning Live", a morning news program airing on Global Quebec.
