(It's the day after, I guess I can now say what happened).

I wouldn't say the best "player", but she was the best contestant ever.

For those in the States who haven't seen the show, basically, she took a deal at $215k, with 6 cases remaining : Toonie ($2), $50, $100k, $200k, $300k and $1M.

Opening one case at a time, I would've said No Deal. And yes, you guess it, her case, #15, contained $1,000,000.

But it was the best show I've seen, US or Canada (or French Canada, for that matter).

Awesome player, hands down.  Ranks up there with their American counterparts.

My only gripe is that with a board like that, I probably would've kept going, healthy safety net, odds are with you.  I think she hit the eject button prematurely.  But hey, she became the first in Canada to pick the 1 Million.

As for watching it, you can get epsiodes on Global's website.

Unfortunately, only people in Canada can watch it on the website. People in the US going to the Global website as blocked from viewing the show (according to Joe_Capitano).

(EDIT : I found, on YouTube, a user who has the first 3 episodes in their entirety. The user is FlameMoth. Episode 4 is not in, yet, but I'm sure it's a matter of time.)

I also would have kept going with a board like that.  But when I saw how little time was left in the show at that time, and knowing that they still had 2 more contestants to get through with only 1 episode left after this, I had a feeling that she would take that deal.  I was still hoping she'd have kept going, but... yeah.

I'm not saying that this wasn't a great game, but how was this better than the guy who had a $293,000 offer very recently? I mean, he was annoying as all hell, but that whole $750 thing and the multiples there of, along with that big mama offer, it at least made for a nice story. The end of DONDC was a huge letdown for me.

Ok, I know I've said the best "show" I've seen. What I actually meant was the best "game" I've ever seen. There might not have been much emotional moments, but I've never seen someone down to opening 1 case at a time have 4 huge amounts on the board. Better yet, I've never seen someone have the top 6 amounts on the boards after the second round.

Yes, Pyong's episode was the best show I've ever seen, in terms of quality of episode. Gameplay wise, yesterday's DONDC was the best (althought she didn't do the best of choice ...)

Oh, and just out of curiosity ... heels, what would you have done in her case? I see you as some sort of DOND authority around here, I'm curious to see your take on this !

I think it should also be noted that through the prove-out after the deal was taken, the next 4 values that would have been eliminated (in order) were the TOONIE, the $200,000, the $300,000, and the $50.  That would have left the $100,000 along with the million, and the offer at that point would have been $604,000.

I'd say that would have been a good time to go for the big one.

Well, it was the last week of DOND Canada. 3 things come to mind ...

- Those cowboys were a little too flamboyant ...
- The girl stopped a little too early, but did a good deal anyway.
- It sucks that it's already over. I understand Howie is more committed to the American show, but this seriously needs to come back next year. And if it does, I'll probably audition for it! That, and the French Canadian show.

Props to Global for bringing DOND to Canada (one of the few good moves by Global).

...and the French Canadian show.

I really like the fact that Véronique is working on both shows, and the fact that they have 2 French Canadians on the show.

Chantale is your lucky name!

-Chantale Nadeau reveals a low amount in the first episode.

What they should have done (For 1 episode) was to have Leyla come out as a "Banker Babe".

Jason jammin' away on that YouTube, Golden-Roaders!! ;-)
How ya'll!!

OK, checkin' out "DOND: Canada" right now, and all I can say is:

-- Howie and "Deal" here in our States -- he rocks it!
-- Howie and "Deal" up north -- HELL, YEAH!! :-D

I see that St. John and Brian kept real to the roots!!
Format ain't messed with, so keep it up...

And the best part besides the cool million (of course) -- it's that they got their own version of "Hayley" named Lilette (#13 over there). See? It's all about 'dat 'Fro after all!! LOL

Besides Lilette, I like:
-- Hinde (8)
-- Kylee (19)
-- Chantale (10)
-- Jen Fletcher (23)
-- Laura (17)

If this keeps up, I may end up with "BankerBella" for all I know!! :-D

Howie needs to keep this HOT STREAK goin'!! YAY-YUHH!!
