Hi-Lo: Tough break. I had a funny feeling the moment I saw the price of the cat food.
Cover-Up: Good win! Especially when it came down to the 5th number! And nice gag, too. And he also won $1,000 on the Big Wheel!
One Wrong Price: Tricky.
Plinko: $2,000 is nothing to sneeze at.
Any Number: Tough break.
Side by Side: Piece of cake! And congratulations to Destiny winning a VW Beetle in her Showcase!

That was a lucky Cu win at the end by Paul! It would've been nice for him to have used his $26,999 Showcase bid on Showcase #2, though.

Well, I guess normalcy is a good thing considering yesterday.

THE BAD NEWS:

Hi-Lo: Nothing but a outright, flat-out Mikestopper.

OWP: Total peanut gallery fail.

A#: At least, Marie has enough to buy a Six Dollar Thickburger at Carl's Jr. (Not Hardee's......Thanks RGA  :P)

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

Plinko: Better that Jennifer won $2K than nothing, that's for sure.

THE GOOD NEWS:

C-U: A real nail-biter on that one! Had a feeling that the 7 would be right, and so did Paul, too...........Plus, big ups on that Classic Concentration theme!

SBS: Looks like it was Destiny's "destiny" to go to Portugal and get that nice looking Beetle!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

2.5/6 wins today, but it was still enjoyable. Hi-Lo was just cold-blooded, though IMHO.

Mike Richards, I recall a period in (I believe) early Season 37 where the Showcase outright mocked the idea of only containing two prizes. You can add all the amenities and etc. you wish to the trip and car, but the fact remains that two-prize Showcases look rather cheap and abrupt.

While yes, there indeed were two-prize Showcases in the beginning on, they not only appear to have been rare but were likely present due to Price being a very new series and having very little budget to speak of.

I have one other thing to note, and it involves Cover Up: slightly less than a month after this episode was recorded on February 26, and precisely one month ago today, ImLost created this topic with a picture showing a Cover Up rebus somewhat identical to this one.

Hm.

The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

Hi Lo 1st! Yes! More regular GP games first, please.

Neither car game was hard at all today. More of this please as well. They're slowly getting better at balance...

I have to give major props to Mike or whoever chose the theme for today's Cover Up. Not only did we suggest the idea approximately one month ago today, the game resulted in a win approximately one month later! Talk about pure coincidence!

Aside from that, there wasn't much anything else exciting. In particular, Hi-Lo. After the contestant picked the smoke seasoning, we knew what the result was going to be. (BTW, Adam—"smoke" is misspelled in the table.) The Side win was nice, though.

Hm.
You've just hit upon something very, very intriguing. I was commenting earlier today while watching the show before I left for work that the theme from today was repeated and that I'm not surprised they finally did another one. This is why I thought that. They hadn't in fact repeated, but that I had seen this here first. Judging by ImLost's profile picture and their small posting history, it's pretty clear that ImLost is someone who currently works for the show and has worked for them since at least 2010. It seems like no one believed him before, especially after his first post where he stated that Mike hides three slips in Punch-A-Bunch himself, but this here is the proof of the proof.

Hi-LO: This game is a strong lead off hitter and that Aruba trip looked quite nice. Unfortunately it was clear before we even got to revealing the unchosen items that we had a loss on our hands.

Cover Up: Great to see the Kia Soul won. This was setup to be lost as 3 and 7 are the last 2 numbers you'd expect to be the in the 1s digit. A solid playing by today's contestant and a great win.  And I really enjoyed the classic concentration type way of saying Price is Right on the Cover Up start.

1 Wrong Price: 1 of my least favorite games but the fridge and the Samsung computer were nice prizes. All 3 prices "looked" right so this was kinda a crapshoot. Too bad it was lost.

Plinko: Today's contestant played the SP part exceptionally well. No luck on the chips but $2000 is still better than $0

Any Number: A great game. It came down to the end and it's ashamed the Dodge Dart wasn't won.

Side by Side: A solid closer especially considering how superior it is the similar Coming or Going and Double Prices. Nice win of a nice trip.

Showcases: With both showcase being car showcases this was going to good as long as we avoided the double overbid.

Overall: Considering a car was won in a pricing game,a car showcase was won,$2000 was won in a loss and the lineup was good this was 1 of our better 2 for 6 shows.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.
