A decent show today. Nice Lexus in the showcase...I guess if Drew dosen't build them up, we know there's going to be something nice in them. :-)

But that trip to France, wow.  8-O
2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

My two cents:

Punch a Bunch: Well, $500 is okay. But at least she won her Showcase
Flip Flop: Good win.
That's Too Much: OUCH! And that Scion FR-S sports car was cool, too.
One Wrong Price: Another good win.
Card Game: What a win! And for a Kia Optima (one of the few good Kias), too!
Bullseye: WOW! A $20K+ trip to France! Impressive! And she won it, too!

Showcases: Although I prefer the Lexus Showcase (because who doesn't love a luxury automobile?), the one that was won today (the Stone-themed Showcase) was awesome, too. No shame whatsoever in that.

PaB: I didn't think the $25K would happen two playings in a row.

F-F: Could've thrown somebody off, but it didn't.

TTM: I thought for a moment he would stop too early, when in fact he ended up doing the opposite.

OWP: Fairly easy.

Card: I didn't think the KIA Optima would be won in this playing even w/ a $3K range, but it was!

Bullseye: I didn't expect that trip to be $20K+.

Showcases: This is one of those times where I wish Drew would say before revealing the price of the lost Showcase something like "How much will it cost you?" (just like on "JEOPARDY!").

Good show today.

THE BAD NEWS:

TTM: That was a pretty painful loss for Tavita.........I think a lot of us were blindsided by the price of the Scion FRS.

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

Punch-A-Bunch: I guess $500 is better than nothing........Her SC win was worth it.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Flip Flop: Easy win for Mariah!

OWP: Same for Neely!

Card Game: Evelyn really cut it close when she won that Optima.

Bullseye: Super sexed-up France trip..........but at least Jaclyn win it with 3 of the sandwiches!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

You know, with the France trip and the Lexus (which I really had no knowledge whatsoever with that price), perhaps we should call the theme of today's show this:

However, 4/6 wins today............Another good show this week!

Punch a Bunch: Disappointed that only $500 was won. Damn luck based games. Perfect pricing and little reward. :(

Flip Flop: Not my favorite prize but always nice to see a win. The 75 part was obvious. It came down to the 48 VS 84.

That's Too Much: Unfortunate the Scion wasn't won. I myself would've lost by stopping 1 too soon. Tough price and tough setup.

One Wrong Price: Easy win.

Card Game: The highlight of the show. Great to see the Kia Optima won! Now today's contestant did indeed cut it close but not in the way Drew thought. Drew said I'm glad you didn't pick another card."  In fact had today's contestant drawn another card it would have been a more comfortable win. What he should have said was "Well,I'm glad you picked that last card. Had today's contestant stopped 1 card sooner she would have lost. And although it didn't affect today's playing I give a big thumbs down to the idea a contestant could win by drawing no cards. Again great to see the Kia Optima won.

Bullseye: OMG! A $20000 non car non cash prize. Wow. Although this wasn't as easy as some bullseye playings it was still fairly winnable, especially with the sandwiches. Awesome to end the show with a win of a prize like that.

Showcases: The Lexus showcase was clearly the better showcase and it's ashamed it wasn't won. The England/Yellowstone showcase was pretty damn good in it's own right but a Lexus speaks for itself. It was a treat just to see it.

Lineup: Mixed but with strong finish. One Wrong Price is 1 of my least favorite games and That's Too Much is dull for a car game although it slots well 3rd. I'm not keen on our lead off hitter today as Punch a Bunch is more luck based than pricing based. (in other words it's more Let's Make a Deal than The Price is Right.) On the other hand Flip Flop is an above average 1 prize game,Card Game is a fantastic game in it's reincarnated form and Bullseye is a strong closer.

Overall: 4 for 6 with a strong finish to everything (lineup, prizes and results) and 2 great showcases being offered made this a very good show. Had the Lexus showcase been won it'd have been a great show.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

Surprisingly, nice prizes are being offered at the end of the season.  The show must be underbudget some if they can stick a Scion FR-S in That's Too Much! and a Kia Optima in the same show.

I thought the slot machine sounds for a win in Card Game were neat.  It's a shame they were drowned out by the win bells and the main theme.

If the show can afford to offer a $20,000 trip in Bullseye, why not have occasional three car days?
