CSS Results for 10/30/2014 (Game 28)
« on: October 30, 2014, 07:34:51 PM »

...clearly we're back to budget mode already.

34 people came in and played some double-value CSS today. Unfortunately, only six of them actually scored, most of the rest tripped up by a super-cheap West Wight Potter package. With the exception of one player, those who didn't overbid on the WWP all had three-digit differences on it...but with the fair number of overbids on the Mustang package as well, we have a boatload of zeroes.

Many of the overbids were close, too. A fair number of Heelses, a WSD, and a couple of blown DSWs, just to cap off the pain. Additionally, the number of players over the line with no overbids is officially down to one, as Punchboard91 also suffered his first overbid of the season. Had to happen eventually, buddy.

VoidThatCheck takes a win today, finishing with a solid $1298 total difference and adding over $57K to his bank today for the Mustang. PayingTheRent decided to play today, finishing second and cashing on the WWP, while Kev347 finished in third.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

And that makes how many days in which any and all DSWs were blown?

So I guess my lesson lately is to shave $2K or so off of my bids. Egads.

Good thing I got called away, as I would have been over as well (23355, 27755).

I manage to pull an DSW on the showcase that the majority of players went over on... only to over-price the Idaho trip :(
All opinions expressed here are well-reasoned and insightful. Needless to say, they are not those of the Price is Right, or any organization for which I have worked for or will work for. Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight.

I overpriced Idaho as well. The B-52s lied to me.

I almost went lower with my bids, especially on the WWP. Idaho just seemed really cheap. I'm quite surprised at the sea of red, but hey, it worked in my favor.

Sure would be nice if I could get back above of the line, but with my schedule, I don't see that happening anytime soon. Playing today was an anomaly.
Pardon my language, but I do believe we all need to calm the f*** down.
