About a month later, the most familiar Big Wheel makes its debut. It's also the longest-lasting version, having been on the show for 20 years (from the last few weeks of Season 16 until the end of Season 36).

Finally, we get to see a grey haired Bob alongside the green Temptation board!
I don't know what feels more strange: that or a grey-haired Bob at the Big Wheel that still has Pricedown dollar signs on it.

What a great episode!  Fantastic lineup, excited contestants, unique prizes...I wish that every episode could be like this one.

That was an excellent episode, and Rod's voice in the Lifestyles of the Filthy Rich and Semi-Famous showcase was priceless.  Quick thought on money game: I was convinced that El Cheapo would be hiding the back numbers, but thankfully Keith won the truck.

Actually, the gold dollar sign wheel debuted about two weeks after this, per the Timeline.

I do agree that's strange (yet very fun) to see Bob with white hair next to older props-the old pink dollar sign wheel and the original Temptation board.

Also, this is especially true in Money Game, Bob and Rod's banter really reminds me of how Drew and George are today.

The Lives of the Rich & Famous showcase was cool...they didn't give Rod nearly as many opportunities to play characters in showcases as Johnny got.

Great episode, and an interesting episode in a sense, because several elements here would not be in place much longer:

-Light-less audience curtains (but with the curves)
-Grocery Game still $6.75-$7.00
-Ticket Plug before Showdown
-Pink Dollar Signs on Wheel
-Still no Dollar Sign on Poker Game prop
-Green Temptation

This also moves up the dates for:

-Bob's star wipes
-Audience curtains (both curves and extra green, which probably happened at the same time)

Also, I didn't know the green Temptation board ever had the filled in gap. I thought that debuted with the pink board.

Actually, the star wipes were in place by February 11, 1988 (6754D).
