What a ridiculously short line-up! Was it necessary to make it that short just to play Pocket Change last?!

Well, PaP and Pushy were won, but I agree with Alfonzo about Pocket. I don't think we need to have some quickies/semi-quickies just to roll out the red carpet for that car game.......It really isn't necessary. And like Money, Pocket today had a pretty tricky setup, almost to the point where they didn't want that to be won, especially with that cheap Versa. I didn't even bother to watch the rest of that game after a setup like that.

And the SCs were both "meh"...............And considering that B&B had its 7000th episode, they really didn't bother to do much on SC2. (sarcastically) Shocker. Although (and forgive me for channeling my "American Idol judge"), when Karla started to describe the contents on SC2, she sounded "pitchy".

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Hella short lineup for a sub-par show.

Not much to say here, other than the good win on Pick a Pair and the gimmie on Push Over.  The Bonkers playing was okay, but Todd should have left the first panel up high the whole time.  Also, Switch? was screaming to be won, but was blown.  The Mini showcase was better, but not by much as both showcases were ho-hum types.  Another ho-hum episode today.

Bonkers: Drew seemed to trying to give today's contestant a clue by saying"it seats eight", a clue clearly meant to indicate the thousands digit should be higher. Today's contestant played the game reasonably well. It's just too bad he never went HLHL. I think the Beachcomber hot tub is a nice prize in principle but it would be a worthless prize to me if I were a contestant because I'd have nowhere to put it.

Money Game: Very difficult setup to make 15 the back. Very low number without being el cheapo means that the back was very tough to get today. Today's contestant didn't do herself any favors by picking the season number but even so that setup was a killer. It's a shame the Hyundai Sonata wasn't won.

Switch?: In my opinion this was setup for a win. Fridges tend to be between $2000 and $3000 and the set price on the fridge had been $2529 which is a very sensible price for a fridge.. That LG fridge was an outstanding prize and the home gym was okay. It's unfortunate that it wasn't won.

Pick a Pair: Good to see a win. The gas was certainly a useful prize and the movie tickets and dinners were nice.

Pushover: Good win of a fantastic Hawaii vacation. And after reviewing the setup I think this was setup to be won especially since there were a few very obviously wrong choices available.

Pocket Change: Bummer all the way around. Bummer that the Nissan Versa wasn't won, bummer about the gameplay, and bummer about the bad luck with those cards.

Showcases: The Mini Cooper showcase with the television in it was the better showcase and I'm very disappointed it wasn't won.

Lineup: Mixed: On one hand Bonkers, Money Game, Pushover, and Pocket Change are all favorites and Pick a Pair is an enjoyable game. And Bonkers is a wonderful lead off hitter and Pocket Change is an awesome closer. Switch? is our dullest two prize game but normally I'd say this was a very good lineup based on game selection. But it was dragged down for me by playing three short games in a row. Switch? followed by Pick a Pair followed by Pushover doesn't work well. Alfonso and PBXL are right about the"meh" feeling created by the short lineup. Pushover, though a favorite of mine, was less enjoyable because of being the third"short" game in a row. This lineup would have been much better by replacing Pick a Pair with Grocery Game.

Overall: A below average and pretty forgettable show today. 2 for 6 with no cars won and in fact the only material prize won was the smartphone in the showcase because the prizes won in pricing games, though good prizes, were a trip and some services. Not as satisfying when not much in the way of tangible physical prizes is won. And the short lineup didn't help either. Below average and forgettable show today.

Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

No. As I correctly deduced in chat, the reason the lineup was short, and the reason this show was bumped up to today, was to fit in a special showcase commemorating the 7,000th episode of The Bold & The Beautiful airing tomorrow.

Bonkers drove me crazy. It's a hot tub. Not a giant kiddie pool. It's more than 5K. This game requires at least a little strategy. Definitely not hard to win if you never change the first number from higher than that 5. Drew even tried to steer him in the right direction by explicitly mentioning that the tub seated eight, as he was playing.

Switch was really easy if you watched the show regularly. In fact, it wasn't difficult even if you didn't watch the show. Fridges certainly go past the 3K mark, but the majority of them are less than that.

Nice to see everybody grossly underprice a Nissan Versa. You'll learn folks. You'll learn.

I also still think that Pocket played a part in this..............The way that set that up and William's gameplay (or lack thereof, unfortunately) made that game a bit long-winded as both of the SCs.
