I too enjoyed seeing Drew enter through the audience. It made me a bit nostalgic, thinking back to the days when it actually was (called) an "audience" and not a "crowd".

And speaking of nostalgia, Drew was called "Bob" again, over seven years after the latter's retirement. Hello Mr. Barker. :)

I know "You Only Live Once" and all, but it was $7000 (in Gas Money). Knowing myself, I probably would have stopped with the $7K.

There were a lot of weird edits in today's show, especially during the First Four down. At one point the audience was standing and cheering, then suddenly seated and seemingly quiet.

I thought I saw the same shirt (says something $0 drew) in yesterday's episode too? [i only noticed since the shirt didnt make sense to me] .  Is it odd that they would pick two people in the same group in back to back episodes?

This was a rather unremarkable program. Plucked from the sea of obscurity by Drew's audience entrance and the other UDecide choices.

Honestly, this show wasn't even "meh" because of the losses. It just didn't click to me. The games just came and went, so did the contestants (although Allison's shout-out was absolutely hilarious). Some of the setups weren't that great, another reason for me to forget the games as soon as they finished playing. Honestly, I didn't even realize the show was on the verge of skunktitude until someone in chat mentioned it after Check-Out. Gas Money was fun though. It's nice to see the game play out. Even if it's lost.

Also, it was horrid to watch the showcases play out the way they did. Cheap ass boat and a loaded trip to ensure no one would come within an inch of the $1,000 DSW range. I don't know, maybe I'm just biased because I went over in CSS. :oldlol:

This was a good lineup though. I really enjoyed the 1st half. Make Your Move 2nd with Check-Out 3rd? Yes, please.

I always thought that in Gas Money, the dollar amounts behind the prices somewhat alluded to the ARP of the car, with low amounts like $1000 being reserved for "easy"/"safe" picks which are far off the ARP. Meanwhile the higher amounts like $4000 meant that the contestant is "dangerously close" to the price of the car.

When the 3rd pick of #21k and the $4000 was revealed, I thought for sure that the $22k price (being closer to the 4k price) would be the price of the car. Today's playthrough kind of debunks this. Though I'm starting to wonder if there is a method to choosing the dollar amounts behind the wrong prices, or is it a random allotment.

Well that was a flop.  And it shouldn't have even been a skunk.  Only Lucky 7 was flat out evil. The quickies were gimmies, Make your Move was a coin flip, and Check-Out was tough but fair (l lost by 38 cents >_<)

I was so aggrivated by the end, I was hoping for the El Skunko.  Never a good thing.

That escalated quickly, the skunks striking back, so it's normally to get a skunked show but it'll probably not happen.

It sounded like she was saying 23 at first when looking to the audience, which would of course have done it with the $1,000 range.  Unfortunately she didn't stay with that.

It was so nice to see an audience entrance again!  I hadn't realized how much I'd missed those.  Drew didn't half-ass this one at all, either -- he really seemed to be having fun high-fiving his way on down the aisle.

What the heck was up with the setups on this episode?  Check-Out and Gas Money are never easy, but Lucky $even, Freeze Frame, and Do the Math were all ridiculously hard, and even Make Your Move was hardly a gimme.  After having more or less balanced setups for the past year and a half or so, this was a pretty darn jarring episode.

Man...with the special rules for today, if Laura had listened to the audience, she's have won both showcases.

There were easy setups in Freeze Frame and Make Your Move

What the heck episode were you watching?

They were easy because there were only two viable options in each.  On Freeze Frame, if you're somewhat familiar with the show or jetskis, the 9023 was probably going to jump out to you as the better option.  Make your Move was 50/50 as well, as the pillow was going to have to be $18 or $31.  I think Laura made the same mistake my wife and I did while playing at home - 1) We've seen too many travel pillows while shopping that do cost that much and 2) The display for the pillow was really gussied up, giving it the illusion of being more expensive.

^This...the audience entrance was obviously taped later in the show and spoiled some of the outcomes as you can see a few of the winning contestants in the "reserved" seats.

Apparently Allison was not happy with the speed that she was receiving her prizes.

Perhaps the most disturbing thing about the article (aside from the use of "Showcase Showdown") is the apparent rule that you must pay the taxes before being able to receive any of your prizes.

...Not that Allison got the prizes she was expecting. The handbags were retired props, which she sent back and promptly got a $2,000 check for.
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)
