There's no clear winner in the NFC South. All four teams look weak. Don't be surprised if the winner has a losing record again.

Guys, camp fights happen all the time. It's honestly not that big a deal. It's really not going to affect anything. People forget about them not long after they happen.

That indeed is very true. However, there are exceptions to the norm...

Granted, the Jets probably weren't going to be relevant anyway this year, but still, this has to sting

Yeah, but the quarterback was involved and that made it explode. I agree that even with the quarterback, it isn't that big of a deal, but usually the stories of camp fights don't involve the QB. So when people see it, it's like "OMG! Not the leader! If he's fighting than this team's in chaos!"

Not going to hurt the Jets long term, but still, you'd hope to have your starter QB available in the beginning of the season when the Patriots are perhaps slightly vulnerable without Tom Brady (yeah, I know that still might not hold up).

I agree the Jets situation is the exception. That was IK being stupid and losing his temper. I was actually curious to see how Geno was going to fare in this new offense with Chan Gailey as offensive coordinator. Now the Jets will (likely) turn to mediocre Ryan Fitzpatrick for the first few weeks, as I'm guessing Geno won't return until Week 6 (the Jets' bye is Week 5).

Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

It turns out that the issue with IK and Smith was over $600.

And these guys make how much again?

$600 may be a big deal for us, but not for NFL players.  It was a stupid fight.  End of discussion.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

How about this? IK was claimed by the Bills.

YES! Team bountygate lost in the final seconds tonight! :) Even in preseason it feels great to watch that team lose.

It may be pre-season, but I guess moneygamelover is in midseason form

(seriously, PLEASE just call them the Saints...or New Orleans...or anything that isn't "Team bountygate" or similar).

I agree wholeheartedly...Bountygate's already in the past, anyway. Still, it's a shame that the Saints lost to the Ravens.

Atlanta-Tennessee: Matt Ryan was perfect calling signals in his only series. T.J. Yates was a train wreck; Sean Renfree has been impressive. 31-24 Atlanta late in the game.

I agree. This whole "everyone's a winner" society is really bad. I'm glad someone is teaching their kids right.
