It's a similar injury to what Dez Bryant just had, so yeah, he might be back for Week 17, more likely the Divisional Playoff (since New England will likely get a first-round bye).

With Victor Cruz done for the year, the Giants bring back Hakeem Nicks.

Brandon Weeden, thanks for playing. Jerry Jones has some parting gifts for you.

This Sunday has Atlanta hosting Indianapolis. Atlanta is giving 6, with Matt Hasselbeck replacing Andrew Luck III at QB. The key matchup will have Colts CB Vontae Davis against Atlanta's Julio Jones. Dan Quinn doesn't plan on taking Davis lightly. Falcons win but take the Colts and the candy.

Even on their bye week, the Giants remain in first place for another week as the Eagles and Redskins embarrass themselves against the the Bucs and Panthers respectively. Amazingly the Cowboys are still in the division race.

Atlanta is this week's NFC South chump, losing to the (no pun intended) Luck-less Colts, 24-21. Matt Ryan throws for 3 TDs and 3 INTs; Hasselbeck 2 TDs and 2 INTs.

Joe Flacco's season is over with a torn ACL and possibly MCL. Eli Manning is now the last QB to not miss a start since the 2000s.

Sad to see Joe's consecutive starts streak end. I've always enjoyed him as a QB and love the stability he brought to the position here in this town. For better or worse, he's been a fine QB. Without him, we might not have that Super Bowl title. I hope he'll be just as good if not better than he was next season.

As soon as he began limping on the field though, I said to my father how if he was injured, this was possibly the best time to do it. In the middle of what amounts to a lost season. It doesn't hurt that bad when you're already so far out of it.

Philip Rivers hasn't missed a start since the beginning of the 2006 season, the second-longest active streak behind Eli. Flacco was third with 121 straight regular-season starts. Eli is at 177 and Rivers is at 153 (not counting playoffs).

It seems like every time the Baltimore Ravens win a game or come close, they actually lose. During the opening week, they lost LB Terrell Suggs (the Ravens did lose however), a couple weeks ago WR Steve Smith, and of course It was just that the St. Louis Rams were just playing really bad that day, and this "win" could be negative in the draft lottery. Meanwhille, the Redskins running offense had one of their worst performances ever, and the defense made too many penalties at the wrong time.

Falcons RB Devonte Freeman has entered the league's concussion protocol after the blow he took in yesterday's game. It is not expected to be serious.

The Browns have demoted Johnny Manziel to third string quarterback after videos on social media showed him partying in Texas during the team's bye week. Josh McCown will be the first string.
