So it's $1197 from 123123123...

1197

DING!

...$1700 from holein1isawesome...

1700

DING!

...$1616 from PayingTheRent...

1616

DING!

...and $1701 from SuperSweeper.

1701

DING!

Now, before we continue, I would like to take a moment to wish a very Happy Birthday to the man who made this show what it is today and one of my childhood idols, the World's Greatest MC himself, Mr. Bob Barker! (cheers) 92 years young, and still going strong. God bless you, Bob, and here's to many more. Back to business, the actual retail price is: $2,250. SuperSweeper, you win!

DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING!

(Walking 2007)

(cheers and applause)

(awaits SuperSweeper at opposite side of Door #2)

Well, I'm glad you got up on stage just in time to get a shot at this prize! George, why don't you tell us what it is?

GEORGE: Hey SuperSweeper, how would you like to win...A NEW CAR??? (Rachel models it) (MDS Car Cue) (cheers and applause) It's the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro coupe, featuring a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 6-speed automatic transmission, AM/FM/CD stereo with SiriusXM Satellite Radio and MP3 jack, remote keyless entry, cargo net and engine block heater. This is the Chevy Camaro!

Yes SuperSweeper, you could win this Camaro if you win a game called Five Price Tags!

$33,265
$34,150
$35,785
$36,895
$37,210

Only one of those tags has the actual retail price of the car on it, and if you pick that tag, you win the car. And I'm prepared to add a twist to this game: If you get the right price on the first try, you, my friend, will win ONE...MILLION...DOLLARS!!!

(Million-Dollar Game sting)

("$1,000,000" spins on screen)

(wild cheers and applause)

That's all you have to do, get the right price on the first try. Now Gwendolyn, take those tags away, and Amber will bring out the first small prize that you can win right now. What is it?

(Cue 14)

GEORGE: Enjoy a game of hoops with this durable Wilson basketball.

Now we have a price for the basketball that says...

$25

...$25. Is it true or false?

I was....thinking out loud.
Yeah. Let's go with that.

*sits down*

I'm not going to protest here, as the game has already proceeded, but why didn't I get to bid again? My bid was out of order, and the above post was meant to redact it. It doesn't matter now, but I definitely would have bid differently knowing holein1isawesome's bid. Instead, he had my bid first and was able to adjust his accordingly. I screwed up, and I suppose there's no rule for it, but that first bid should not have counted, at least in my opinion. For future reference, some clarity on this would be appreciated.

I read your post, and I didn't interpret as a retraction - possibly because you didn't outright say "I screwed up; can I bid again?"

For the record, I've seen out-of-order bids happen before on HYO shows, and from what I remember, the out-of-order bidding stood - if you bid out of turn, it was your loss.

Fair points all around. I'm just mad I missed out on possibly winning a nice Camaro. :P
