I hadn't really thought about this before, but the reality of death means that every day there are less people in the world than the day before.  In reality there are many more people in the world than this but for illustration: If one day there are 1000 people in the world and the next day 55 people die, now there are 945 people in the world. if 30 more die the next day now there are 915 people in the world. So we'll eventually become extinct as will all creatures as the same reality applies to dogs, cats, horses etc.

For anyone familiar with BigJon06's Price, which has some custom games, Spin was kinda like "UpsideRadicalDown", a mishmash of UpsideDown (a quickie like CoG with the same pricing principle as Spin's custom SP portion today) and Radical. What BigJon's Radical does though is have 5 true/false SPs for up to 5 spins of the wheel, and you can cumulatively win more items, lose everything, or win it all in one spin, and can bail at any time:

This is definitely where Spin failed for me as a pricing game: just 1 spin. Granted, she got extremely unlucky, 1/8 for a ZONK, but at the same time it's only 1/4 at the car even with perfect pricing. And there were some decent four-digit cash consolations, but also just some three-digits. One spin is just not a good payoff for a car pricing game after a SP portion, and it was a worst-case scenario today.

The fact they're putting so much effort into unique pricing concepts when adding SPs/GPs to these games is a nice surprise despite the results so far, at least. The SP dual-sided reveal cards were very nicely designed. That said the numbers 3, 4, and 7 can't be used in the "digital upside down" concept (and 0 would be very rare without being trivial), so there are some limitations I think could make the concept a bit stale if used in a permanent pricing game.

I have no idea where that super sexed up bathroom came from... we haven't had an issue like this in years now. It was more than both cars today!! I do not want to see that ever again on a daytime show.

S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

I will say Radical and Upside Down came to my mind immediately with both games, but I think the flaw concept of just 1 spin is what makes me think it couldn't survive on Price. Yes, we get a $1500 bailout option, but there's a chance you can win less in cash by the wheel (like the $100 near the Zonk hit today.) Radical on BigJon's at least gets the option of 5 spins, even with the risk of losing it all.

Wasn't excepting a Prize that like that Bathroom being offered today in Pick-a-Pair.
Most Expensive Non-Car prize ever offered in that game.

Somewhere out there, BigJon is shaking his head, wondering why he didn't come up with it when he had the chance. But I agree, Go for a Spin was a poorly-executed game with the one spin. However, I like that it borrowed the concept from UpSideDown for the SP pricing portion. At least they did the first game (Car Pong) right; today's game just completely missed the mark. But then again, Hole in One had that same fatal flaw (all or nothing) until that second putt was added 30 years ago.

Go For a Spin would be a fun pricing game if it wasn't for the one spin. I would have kept a similar structure, but would have awarded an extra spin for each correct SP, as well as the elimination of one of the "zonk/$0 spaces". No correct SP picks would be 0 spins. take out the whole deal element at the end though.

I don't understand why George didn't emphasize the price of the "ultimate" bathroom today, when in other shows he's said things like "It's a prize package (or vacation) worth, get this..., <something barely in the five figures>".  Especially since, as Wayoshi mentioned, its price was greater than that of either car offered in the other pricing games.

Go For A Spin (as played today)? Nah. Go back to LMAD. :)

That one is really a bit too easy. I'd prefer SP for extra spins, but the board cannot be changed.

I think that the pricing portion of Go For A Spin might have potential for a future pricing game (even though you couldn't use prices that contain a 3, 4, or 7). They could even recycle the small prize stand that the used in that game as well.

I really liked Spin the way it was played, although I think offering $1000 for each correct answer would make the 'bailout' a more genuine option.  Any more than one spin of the wheel would become just as boring as the showcase showdowns are with lots of dead airtime.

I loved Go For A Spin. The pricing portion, and particularly the reveals, were insanely clever. Kudos to whoever came up with that.

Joker's pricing portion says "hi!".
They can be close at the top, too.
