It is probably just me, but I was partially expecting Pick-a-Pair to come up, because pairs. I know that we had it two days weeks in a row, but still.

Also, I haven't watched the episode and only have the recap. Is Plinko still the "new" layout (500,1k,2.5k,0,10k...)?
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

The clip I saw on FB had 100-500-1000-0-10,000-0-1000-500-100.

Also, two appearances in a row of Plinko were special occasions. Via extrapolation, Plinko will now only be played on special occasions. If Plinko is on next week, further confidence.

(Ok, yeah, that's a joke. Also kudos to the couple for winning over 60k of items.)

Alright, the mobile Tapatalk app sucks. It told me that the message wasn't sent. Forgive me for the second and third times I posted.

Duplicate posts deleted. App version of the site sucks. I always access from Safari. - PTR :P

I'm not sure what to think of how they arranged the contestant's row slots today. I remember they did something similar on the Veteran's Day show that aired in primetime in season 37 where they had each slot filled by the same military branch and I thought it was kind of fun then, but today it just felt like an odd gimmick.

That sort of makes me wonder: What if we had an episode where only e.g. The married 25+ years slot won all six One Bids? Would the show really have 24 couples paired up to be ready to come one down?

Why not?  The studio holds over 300 people.  It seems perfectly reasonable that there would be 4 sets of each potential "category" of contestants, assuming the show was advertised as a Valentine's Day special that specifically sought couples to play together.

I thought that the selection would slow down the time before the taping significantly, and also they taped another episode afterwards. That was my main thinking. The last time they did this, as JayC pointed out, was in a primetime special, so TPIR would have theoretically all the time in the world.

Wonder why the old amounts were back on Plinko?
Either today's show was a mistake , or the previous show had the wrong amounts.

Or perhaps the shows aired out of order?

Nope:
The Feburary 3 Episode ( with the new Amounts ) was taped 12/7/16
Today's Episode ( with the old Amounts ) was taped 12/11/16

The season 37 Veteran's Day episode was taped as a daytime episode, it wasn't intended as a primetime special. CBS decided to air it in primetime.

Weird that the episode with the new Plinko amounts was taped before yesterday's episode with the old ones. Which one was a mistake?
