True, though to me, that's not as bad as when nothing is won (the first prize is blown).

I thought I had it right the first time then changed. It got confusing in my head because I've been there before. Memory serves me it's not pronounced Leominster

Unless there has been a change in policy, Drew reminding Sheridine that she had won the bay leaves multiple times during Golden Road was factually incorrect.

Have we had a recent Golden Road big winner whose total was flashed at the end of the show to confirm that the first prize is not included?

One thing I noticed in GR: they didn't mention the dishwasher's brand.  I was a little surprised they have enough money lying around to pay cash for a prize that expensive, but then again, how many "cash" games does the show have now?  (Even a game like Let 'Em Roll has a guaranteed $500 cash prize if you don't win the car.)

I also wonder if the show is getting to a point where they may have to switch to the starting prize in GR being in dollars, like on the Doug Davidson version.

I ran the numbers, and the last G-R playing of S45 was a wipeout, but won the SC. A dollar was not added to the final total.

I'm on mobile; don't hurt me

"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

The last contestant to win Golden Road and win their showcase was on 12/23/14 , based on the total that flashed on the screen  , the grocery item wasn't included in their winnings.

Always fun to see Golden Road. The dishwasher and motorcycle were easy to get, but the 5 was the only number that didn't fit for the Tesla. I thought 7 or 9 myself.

Tougher than normal Now or Then I thought. The price of the Garlique could make you think it was Then, but it was sponsored and almost all sponsored GPs are Now products which the average contestant wouldn't realize. I also understood going Then for the pasta sauce, and the detergent wasn't an easy choice as the other Then.

Very mean Dice Game with 6 as the last number.

Kathleen seemed to think her and David were bidding on the same Showcase.

I had Memorial Day off, so this is the first time I've seen the show in a long while. Two questions:

The price holders in Golden Road (the green, blue, and red frames) were rebuilt. Is that new?

Has the buzzer always sounded so muffled?

Golden Road itself sort of tells the story of the show with a pretty good start, then going downhill, in particular NoT where a LFAT could of guaranteed a win after the batteries. And of course a late 2000s then date makes it fairly tricky since the CPI is only around 25% higher now than it was a decade ago. At least a car was won in the Showcase.

Golden Road has had the same price holders since 1999 when the current sign was introduced. Also, the buzzer has had the same pitch since 1991.
