CSS15 Playoff Start Date Poll

So I traditionally have started the playoffs a week earlier than the first week of June. However, I'm thinking of changing this for this year because of Dream Car week.

I think 5 SCs chock full of cars would not be very representative of the season. And we have two makeup shows this year as backups on the schedule after 6/21. Vote / comment your thoughts, we have at least a month and a half to decide.

Separately, may I respectfully propose a rule change for next season?

I think that in order to “rank” and be “above the line”, one should have to play 50% (maybe even 55%)  of the time. Currently, I believe it’s just under 40%.  So this means (assuming a 5-day week) a player need to only play 2 days a week to be in contention.  Throw in the ability to “game” double Fridays (meaning making sure Fri is one of those 2 days one plays), I think the 40% is too low.  I understand not everybody is able to play every day. But this 40% rule allows  one’s average to not necessarily be entirely indicative of their CSS ability.   

I hope others will comment on this.

I voted to start in June because I feel like with Dream Car Week, it is inevitable that at least one show will get spoiled, and I don't want to have a playoffs that extends to the fourth week if possible.

Note that I will be filtering out votes from people who do not play CSS regularly.

I've thought about raising the line to 50% before. I'll put it up for debate this summer.

I have decided we will start on June 3. Two backups plus July 4th should really be enough, if a disaster occurs we also have July 17th.
