CSS Results for 05/15/2019 (Game 150)

These are the doldrums for the show right now. It seems we have no budget left and plenty of shows to go. Let's count it up:

-3 blown DSWs, 2 with DSWSDs
-9 overs of no more than 250, breaking up into 5 WSDs (including the DSWSDs), 2 WSQs

Plenty of people did bid 20k on 2, but it was a 203xx. Meanwhile the watch today was probably quite cheap, certainly compared to a Rolex it was.

The end result is just 2 survivors, vhs (hard/soft cashing DSW) and myself. As is customary with a low 20k ARP, both were DSWs, as the ARP can't get much lower than that.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Yikes! What a train wreck. SC1 threw me for a curveball, as it did for the rest of us. I figured SC 2 would be cheap, but I didn't know how much. At least I didn't get a WSQ.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

SC1 price reveal

SC2 price reveal

"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

Finally! Cash! Last time the "two survivors" situation happened, I was on the other end (scored but didn't cash).

SC2 was one of those where I put down "don't care" for the last trip. I put down $1000 for the bike, $6500 for the trip. That gives $7500 with a trip to go, which probably isn't more than $12,500. So I put down 20251 plus a little extra to fend off the other low bids. And it worked for once.

I haven't cashed since I walked into $29564 with a bid of $28577 some time ago.
I didn't get called down, but the guy next to me did
Oops, that isn't true anymore
