...yeah. I'm not sure $99,999 is lower than $1,499. But contestants have been able to sneak through high bids before.
If someone has not bid after 24 hours, that player will get one strike and a default bid of $99999, unless two players have missed, in which case the second bid would be $88888, and so on. Hopefully it won't ever have to come down to multiple misses in the same One-Bid round, though I think I've seen it on other HYO shows.
So the bids are now $99999 from PatrickRox80...
DING!...$1150 from Cool Steve...
DING!...$999 from GameShowFan9001...
DING!...and $1 from wpghi5.
DING!And the actual retail price is: $899. wpghi5, you win!

Now, you remember that at the top of the show, I promised one lucky contestant a chance to play for a million dollars? Well George, let's hear it!
(Punch-a-Bunch/Golden Road harp stinger)
GEORGE: wpghi5, you now have a chance to win up to $1 million! And you are that lucky contestant, playing Punch-a-Bunch! Hello, Rachel!
RACHEL: Hey, Teddy! Congratulations, wpghi5, and good luck! One slip on the punchboard has that $1 million prize, and we've raised the lower amounts as well. We have two slips that have $250,000, four that have $100,000, eight that have $50,000, ten that have $10,000, ten that have $5,000 and five that have $2,500. And wouldn't it be great to punch out that million-dollar hole? Well, right now I'm going to give you a chance to win up to four holes and four prizes, where James is standing by. What's the first one, George?

GEORGE: Keep your kids' beverages cold while they're at school with this 10-oz. stainless steel water bottle. Now what's the wrong price, James?
It's $50. Do you believe that the right price is higher or lower?
